Hey hey Everyone! Today I Unlocked the Antler Pickaxe for myself. This will allow me to dig into the ground and break rocks! Further enabling us to clear and shape the foundation of our builds. I also decided to use a little bit of core wood, since you can chop Pine trees with a flint axe. This ended up being a really cozy house, with an awesome basement! I hope you enjoy the build today!

Its a personal want for sure to see more bridge making, But i am a weirdo. You gotta do what the people want and i'm only a person. But the builds rock already and i'll still be watching.

two things I love about about this house, that it's made me think about... :) 1) bees, and chatting with them. You might have meant that a bit tongue in cheek but ... at one time, anytime there was a death in the family, the bees had to be told. It's true - google if you don't believe me. :) so a good tradition for sitting down to have a chat with yer bees! 2) the cellar. Can I ask why the seperate entrance? Is it a cultural thing? Here in the UK most cellars are accessible from within the house - if they're of a certain age, they might also have a 'coal chute' for sliding sacks of coal into it, or something similar, or even a whole full seperate entrance as well as the one from within the house, but I don't think its common to have a cellar that you can't access from within the house. I could be wrong, but I've never see one. Love the build - have just spent a frustrating evening trying to get a house up and struggling with wood beams, and completely neglecting the massive pile of core wood in the yard! silly me. I know what I'm doing tomorrow night! :) Thanks for the inspiration, Hiccup!

I always struggle with basement houses lol, the idea is awesome esp for downstairs forges and such, but so much work!

yeah, digging it out and keeping the walls smooth is tricky and hard to repair if you mess it up. I'll probably try another basement build down the road and make a much bigger basement. Hopefully it comes out as well as this one did.

Another great build, my favourite part is the larger windows, these I think make a small house seem bigger and more open. As always though the details you add to the builds is what brings them to life.

This one might be my favorite so far! The shape of the roof and the texture of the walls and fences are really nice!

"Chop some stones" - Hiccup, youtube recommended me your content like a week or so ago and ive been loving it keep up the great work and between this series and modheim ive started playing again after a little over a year or longer dont even remember how long break from the game waiting on updates and been having a blast slowly building through the different stages of the game

I love it! The underground area is so neat and the couch looks so nice! It looks great man. Core wood is definitely one of my favorite building materials.

Love the build!! In my work I would probably put another log on top of the porch fence just because I'm a sucker for the double core log look, but the spikes poking out the top give it some more texture that it feels like some wood lacks.

PS - I believe beds have to be within 8m of a fire, which is closer than the heat radius indicates...I've definitely run into similar issues lol.

Can you show how you did the downstairs build? How did you get the angled pieces to fit right within the ladders?

I just free place the 45 degree wood beam angle pieces into the inside of the ladders, deep enough to still allow me to climb the ladders. I'll show the whole process in, not my next build cause that one's done already, but the one after!
