Thanks for the video, Emma :) My way to go is pretty similar to @rogaldorn1405: 1. weapon 2. shield 3. 2nd weapon 4. bow/crossbow 5. hammer 6. pickaxe 7. axe 8. torch/wisp Consuming food is not time critical. You always have time for it. Same goes for lasting effects potions. And putting a healing potions into the hotbar already killed me on couple of occasions. I drank it by mistake in the middle of the fight and when I actually needed it, it was still on cooldown. Since then I prefer to have it in the inventory.

Thank you for the support Honza, and what a good point! having the potions on the hotbar might do more harm than good unless you are really used to having them on the hotbar :O!

Slot 1: bow Slot 2: 1h weapon Slot 3: shield Slot 4: 2h weapon (crowd control) Slots 5-7: tools/potions Slot 8: hammer Keeping the hammer the furthest away from my fingers since I rarely use it during combat, and keeping the weapons close for constant witching.

Wauw very cool to see! And what a smart idea to always have a 1 handed and 2 Handed weapon in the same slots. Crowd control can really save you in a pickle! Thank you for sharing :)!

1.Sword 2.shield 3.atgeir 4.hammer 5.bow 6.axe 7.pickaxe 8.hoe I only switch axe for cultivator when i need to farm. But that's really the best way for me, i don't want to change my bar constantly (and food and potions on the bottom right of the inventory is just fine)

Looks like a good setup! For this video I started noticing how hard it is to use the last (5-6-7-8) keys, is for my hand. So I started moving foods more into the inventory slots and it really works well! Happy playing :)!

I keep my food in inventory and my potions in hotbar. I play with the controller, and one thing that is different about controller play is that you cant continue to run while you open your inventory so it makes it so you have to pause to use anything in inventory. Thanks for the great video!

Great tips and examples! :D That said, I'm the kind of potato that has the same hot bar layout in most games. Yes, I will take my cultivator & hoe to a boss fight..BUT... it's familiar. Don't judge me xD

In all honesty, I also very often use the same hotbar. But started noticing other playstyles and habits that some might not think of. In trying to become a better hotbar user myself this video happened. My hotbar is usually hammer/axe first, shield second, bow, cultivator, {option} and then food. Though for hardcore I do try to change that habit 😁

@@emmatpotato That's good to hear :) I usually have, from left to right: torch/cultivator, hammer, axe, knife, bow, shield, hoe and pickaxe. I have brought that combo to every boss fight 🙈 food is placed in 2 vertical lines on the right side of my inventory: the best health and stamina foods I can make. That way I always carry enough variety food to accommodate any situation 🍽️

So cool to hear all the different styles in using the hotbar and inventory, it is so cool to see the differences and ways people play. The look of your hotbar can say a lot about your playstyle too. As a farmer/builder most of the time seeing a fellow potato bring a culti to a boss fight is fun to see!
