What is there current status? Are they still in business, are they clearing out parts, I purchased a WW-15 MPC in 2020, kept it for 2 years never fired it. I sold it and bought a Beretta CX4 Storm PCC. No regrets, however I am thinking about a new AR.

@@steven3379 I looked it up. They filed for bankruptcy under the original owner in Sept 2023. Then another company bought them three months later and restarted the same business, promising to honor the lifetime warranty on all WW firearms (past and present). The WW website is up and the rifles can be purchase there. It appears they're manufacturing with the same quality parts (chrome-lined 4150 steel barrels, etc) as the previous owner.

I think your assessment is reasonable. You’ve had far more exposure with more brands than I have. I have 4 different brands that fall within your top 3 tier groups. LMT may qualify as a top tier from what I read but I have no actual experience with it. Pretty solid ranking from the ones I’m familiar with. Great job.

This is my wheel-house. The Barret Rec-7 is a solid AR platform. A bit chunky for me and my yastes, but solidly built with top-notch parts and QC.

And they’re SUPER COOL to deal with. I purchased 4 of the basic , 2 screw adjustable G,Blocks like 4 years ago for extra parts. In going set up one more recent on a build, I noticed an impression from the coming from the inside threaded adj screw hole going outward indicating the tap or drill peened the metal to much and “possibly “ could wear through from gas pressure over admittedly over period of time,no definitive functional issue as is. But since like most manufacturers have lifetime warranties, I just simply inquired what the process would be to possibly swap for a new one. Customer Service asked me what journal size and where I wanted it shipped? I asked about sending a copy of receipt and how/where to send the one I had,p? They said keep it and then asked after realizing they didn’t have any of the size I needed in stock,IIf iit’d be Ok to send me the upgraded detent/ flip handle like $130 gas block model? I said of course, 3 days later , in my mail box. Whole deal was 4 days from initial email to in my hands! Those guys are great! Seriously…

I approve the list for sure. My first AR was a DPMS by Panther Arms and it’s never failed me. It was also only 750 bucks, so very affordable too. Incidentally I’ve also upgraded a few of the parts over time. By far the Daniel Defense grip is my favorite addition. It’s really durable and provides an amazingly solid, nonslip rubberized surface that always grants me a nice firm hold on the weapon. It’s also sexy and sleek. I can only imagine how smooth their uppers and lowers are, because they are well beyond my price range lol. Maybe someday…

I think your picks were pretty accurate a lot of companies use ballistic advantage barrels aero included but I feel if you get a cheaper upper or lower receiver put quality internal parts if you can

That is a decent list. Diemaco is a Canadian company that manufactures Colt rifles for the Canadian gov't. I don't know what else they do. For "bang for the buck" rifles I really like BCM. And you can never go wrong with a Colt.

I usually use Anderson relievers and mostly palmetto armory parts . They're not high dollar parts but they've always worked for me. But I agree with you about armalite. My kin were from county cork so right here with you ma'am.

You forgot Bushmaster Fire Arms LLC, based out of Carson City, Nevada. Their M4/AR15 in my opinion are duty ready and Top notch. I own 2 of them: the BUSHMASTER BRAVO ZULU BFSIII and the BUSHMASTER BRAVO ZULU SBR. They are a little pricey but well worth the money and both have 1000s of rounds through them with ZERO issues.

I don't Have one, but from what I've seen of them, POF USA is comperable to HK: if I had $2500+ to burn, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of theirs LMT and CMMG also manufacture parts for mil-spec M-16's. I'm not a fan of S&W, but their AR's are fantastic, especially for the price. Panther Arms and DPMS are one in the same: I have one of their uppers, and I'm happy with it. Wyndham used to manufacture a multi-caliber AR, that looked pretty cool, but it may not have been a good seller, because I don't see them anymore. (It came with a few different barrels, and I believe the lower had a removable mag well!) I'd love to see you - or somebody - test one of Jesse James's AR's...

Diemaco also known as colt canada manufactured the canadian C7 and C8 For the canadian army and cansofcom. Since its creation the c7 and C8 Have seen use by norway, denmark, the netherlands and a special variant known as the L119A1 and L119A2 Are used by the UKSFs elite units such as the SAS and SBS, The weapon Obi Wan Nairobi Had was a l119a2.

I agree with that list. Diemaco (Colt Canada) is top tier. They make ARs for Canadian and British SF.

As an old soldier who used M14, M16, M16A1, and the M16A2, I have to say the M14 is better than any of the AR-type weapons. The XM177E1, aka CAR15, was a bit better than the regular 16's, but only because it was shorter and handier, but still not as good as the -14. I even had the chance to handle an M1 Garand (the CIDG's would sell a family member for a carton of Salem cigarettes, so swapping for a Garand was easy). The reload was simpler with the Garand, especially if you were manuevering at a run.

While everything I have are Acceptable Range Tools. I would have moved Faxon and Ruger up to High Teir. Also, Rock River Arms started with the AR-15 ar least they were great!

With the amount of trigger time you have, i will listen to your tier list. Mine might be slightly different though. I am a fan of Daniel defense and Bravo Company Manufacturing. But i also like Ruger and Aero Precision as well. Would love to have a Knights Armament

Part of my Family is Germans who's settled in Texas. For us I'm sure it had to do with farm and dairy land. Several German towns throughout TX. It's rumored the fighter Canelo in Mexico is Irish/Spanish. Someone mentioned why Irish may of went to Mexico. Remember Texas was part of Mexico at one time. They settle when TX was US or Mexico?

Brynn, have you ever fielded an Olympic Arms AR platform? Awesome quality, and workmanship. I own one if their A2 HB models, and it is an exceptionally accurate, and robust weapon for intermediate range sniper work, as well as being an overall high end battle rifle.

I have a springfield Saint Victor I know some people don't like springfield because of some faux-pas that they had but for 1200 bucks it is not "for the poors" even though I consider myself to be a poor. My son bought an ar was jammed on the third round. I mean needed a gunsmith to remove a live round jammed. After 2 months at the factory it was returned and still not completely repaired per the gunsmith. I can’t remember the crap brand. When I find out I’ll tell you. PS yeah dd seems to find there way too broke nuts with gub ment contacts who put them up to no good

6:15 COLT = top tier bar none. Battle proven. Accurate. Undisputed. I've cranked an unknown thousands of rounds through my Colt, and has fired with every trigger pull. No finer AR. I know what I would entrust my life.

Christensen Arms (not on your list?) aren't cheap and the mfg has sub-moa guarantee. They have an AR-15 (Model # "CA-15 G2") under "modern sporting rifles" category on their website.

Bushmaster brand name was sold to Freedom group(Remington) I believe. The actual Bushmaster manufacturer is now Windham Weaponry now.
