Sure, if you refer to a time when the plot of most games was a setup like "kill Dracula" or "get your daughter back". Gaming is maybe 30, maybe even 40 years old, and plots, or "plots" only arrived with stuff like the original Final Fantasy, even though even that was simply "get back the princes and save the kingdom". We are living in a great age for gaming, and we have so many good choices. Do you even play any other games?

What azure said and then there's the fact that 2B is actually 2E She's actually an executioner model undercover as a 2B in case 9S learns to much due to his model being (i forgot the word that was used cos im very tired) very powerful due to hacking and learning information and he could go awol Apparently in a nier automata stage play it was confirmed she had killed 9S 48 times i think it was? because 2B grew an attachment with 9S she found it hard to kill him and she's killed him a lot of times... ive yet to watch the video but I'd say for 2B to not go awol after killing someone she's grown attached to 48(ish) times is pretty impressive and far from easy... there's another executioner model we can do a mission for who has started going awol once we finish a mission for he

That just unfair for 2B, aside from the comment above. Once when 2B finally gave up to her burden due to her love for him and refused to kill 9s, Yorha was planning on decommissioning her as a failed type E android but 9S chose to kill himself for 2B to live and made her swear to a cruel oath, to keep killing so they can be together forever even if he won’t remember her. That’s why 9S weapon is literally called Cruel Oath

​@@AnhHoang-mm7szthat information doesn't sound remotely true, that would mean 2B and 9S are in a never ending spiral of Romeo and Juliet bs, the difference with A2 is that she was a very timid android who was shy and nervous, but ever since she lost the very people she swore to protect, her personality changed so drastically she only craved more killing against the machine lifeforms. But she was never broken entirely, her character arc showed that she was close to being human then any other android given the experience and character arc she got throughout her journey. Prime examples like sparing Pascal despite hating machines with extreme prejudices and even saving him and helping him at times, showed she can change and move on.

I just realized something, Accord could most likely alter the timeline of the pearl harbor descent and save A2 and the rest. We know she can, because she did it multiple times in drakengard 3, so potentially there can be a timeline where they survived. That's just my thinking though.

After the end of Automata I still didn't understand who was running everything from the YoRHa side. There had to be an entity that was aware of humanity's extinction, who decided to create YoRHa for the sake of the original androids, create the moon server and spread the lie that humanity was still alive. Up to ending C I thought the YoRHa commander might have something to do with it, but in the last playthrough it seems she's also a pawn. After the bunker is destroyed there isn't any authority left on the android side. The last ones with the ability to make any decisions are the Pods, so do they work for someone or could they have designed the system from the start?

@@carlotta4th very late comment, but isn't the moon server real though, because the machines were originally were targeting the moon server, but changed their mind and wanted to go to a different world instead. And iirc the moon server has the human DNA, however I don't know if it's replicate DNA, but since their talking about literal humans, it would mostly be pure human DNA samples.

This game should have a movie adaptation. The story and gameplay is amazing, unlike the other rpg games that send the crown prince on a quest with his 3 friends and crown prince becomes a public servant. Bravo to platinum games and square enix.

It's because she felt betrayed by YorHa with her entire squadron getting wiped out and probably felt like 9S after he discovered the truth too. She was also acting in self defense as the androids sent to get her are also allowed to kill her. As for why she goes after Machines? Well it's fairly obvious why.

Excellent video. This story is found in Route C. I can't read it without feeling a pang. You see this at the start of Nier Automata; Android casualties are prohibitively high. Air deences which were supposed to be disabled aren't. They fight, they die. You can't continue like this, and not become extinct. Stark and grim comments from Yoko Taro. I don't think he's confined them to Nier Automata. Look at our own world. Look at the more warlike peoples on our planet, and ask yourself, are there people on this planet not terrified we'll end up in a war like the one in Nier Automata? I've gone off on a tangent, again. Sorry if I detracted from what you were saying in your video.

Questions: 1.) YoRHa androids are obviously way advanced over the rusty alien machines. In battle after battle, a single YoRHa android can easily take out dozens of machines. Two YoRHa androids, a Battle model and a Scanner model working together easily defeated a pair of goliath-class Engels machines. The rusty alien machines resemble the rusted out derelict cars scattered through the city than advanced battle bots. Something doesn't add up here! 2.) Resistance members have assault rifles -- we see that several times in the quests given to 2B and 9S. Yet YoRHa has only...swords. Seriously?!?! 3.) The factory where the machines are manufactured is so primitive and industrial. Yet the Copied City and the tower that rose out of the ground above it is as advanced beyond YoRHa as YoRHa is as advanced beyond the machines. Obviously, that shiny white tower is a product of something way more advanced than either YoRHa or the aliens. The library at the top of the tower is identical to Devola's and Popola's library from Nier. Is this just the game developers being lazy reusing a level design? Or is there a canonical connection between the Recorders and whoever built that tower?

I know Nier Automata lore is the most relevant now, but later can you do a video about how Drakengard 2 does not fit Dakengard ending A or why only Ending E or 3 can lead to the original Drakengard? It was explained in the Lore summary vid briefly, but frankly the only simple one is Drakengard ending E leading to Nier.
