Everything Monkees she had, all the music, all the merch she could get and every issue of 16, Tiger Beat and other magazines that had the Monkees in them and she would play their music endlessly and I would also watch the show as well so hearing these songs again, some that I haven't heard in nearly 50 years REALLY brings back memories of a time of innocence which is long gone and dead.

Thanks once again Kenn for your outasight work. I can't help wondering if Louie Shelton's amazing work was Donny Kirschner's way of letting the boys know that, like so many others, they were OK for a touring band, but not for studio work. I remember thinking that Rob Grill was a terrific bass player based on Midnight Confessions--haha. Carol Kaye was truly great, and she has written some wonderful books--both autobiographical and about bass technique. She used to offer Skype lessons, which is like learning art from Michelangelo! @@ralphsanchico2452 Actually Peter Tork was the most accomplished musician in the group, which Michael himself acknowledges. Peter studied music in college and played multiple instruments brilliantly; I especially loved to hear him play banjo. It was Louie Shelton who played the famous amazing flamenco guitar here.
