To kick off a packed show at the Danforth Music Hall, Toronto pop band @ThisIsValley performed “There’s Still a Light in the House,” setting the tone for an upbeat evening of melodious sing-alongs. Known for songs that explore themes of love and coming-of-age, each glittering track they played brimmed with energy. The Juno-nominated group’s most recent album, Lost in Translation, was released in June and features bouncy crowd-pleasers including “Throwback Tears.” “We played Ottawa, we played Montréal, but there’s no f--king place like home,” lead singer Rob Laska told the audience. “This is a dream come true for us, truly.”
