A very nicely made video. Just one advice, do not carry an umbrella but a proper, thin and light raincoat to such places and also a trekking pole. You may need both your hands to keep yourself steady and safe.

Gurudwara is available at both Govindghat and Ghangaria. All the other hotels are quite costly. If you are not ok with staying in gurudwaras, there is a GMVN guest house in Ghangaria. They've a dormitory available, also double rooms are available. But as usual, they don't maintain them properly ☹️.

Apart from gurudwara, you won't find low price hotels in Ghangaria. All the basic hotels charge around 2200-2500 for a double bed room. In Ghangaria however, you can stay at GMVN guest house. Dorm bed costs 400/- per night. There are 10 beds in 1 room + attached toilet. However, during my visit, it was only me and my friend at that time....and no other guests were there. That's why we found the dormitory clean. I don't know how it will be if all the 10 beds are occupied. Ghangaria GMVN has some double bedrooms too.... But they're costly (2000 -2500) and they don't maintain it properly ☹️ All the other hotels in Ghangaria charge around 4000/- and even 5000/-

There is a registration counter at pulna. But its not necessary to get your registration done there. Main registration counter for valley of flowers is on the way from Ghangaria to VOF. We only registered ourselves at that main counter. However, you can register yourself at pulna for own satisfaction you know!! 🙂

We have 2 day fir trek . Our plan is to do both the valley of flower and hemkund shahib trek. One day for each. At present we are planning to stay first night in pulna. So that in early morning of another day, we can enter the gate before the closing of gate. Is there any hotels or homestays in pulna ?

Agar aap haridwar/rishikesh se aa rahe ho to 1 din k aandar Ghangaria pahuchna possible nahi hai. Haridwar/rishikesh se subhe 5 bje k bus se bhi aagar aap rahe ho to govindghat pahuchne me shaam k 5 baaj jynge. Raste me traffic hota he. Phir govindghat to Ghangaria total 14 kilometres. Isme se 11 kilometres trek karna hota he... 5 ghante laag jaate he almost trekking me

October is the best time to visit uttarakhand. Also, you don't need any guide! Kedarnath trail is well marked and you'll find many pilgrims going there. And Badrinath temple is basically 1 kilometre easy walk from the bus stand..... For kedarnath, you have to reach sonprayag first. From badrinath, if you are going via rudraprayag, the route will be like this: badrinath - joshimath - karnaprayag - rudraprayag - sonprayag. From badrinath bus stand, you'll get early morning bus for sonprayag (kedarnath), and if no busses are available, try to reach rudraprayag somehow, or atleast joshimath! You'll find transport from these places. Hope that helps 🙂

I presume any bus going to haridwar from badrinath goes to start point of trek to valley of flowers. You mentioned about gurudwara where I can stay. Whether mid point of trek too we have gurudvara. Regarding guide was for valley of flowers. I just saw your video completely and looks like we don't need guide but I hope I don't get lost at valley of flowers where there is no proper path and every direction it just looks green 😁

Oh sorry 😂. Yeah, all the buses from badrinath to haridwar passes via govindghat, from where you need to go to pulna first and then trek to Ghangaria. No gurudwara in between pulna and Ghangaria ☹️. Also, you won't get lost in the valley. Its well marked. If there was any chance of someone getting lost, it would have been me.... Because I have no sense of direction 🤷

Some one said I can go to mussori but not sure there are buses from govind ghat. Thanks for the info. I wouldn't have planned valley of flowers if your video was not recommended to me 🙏 First I had only Kedarnath in plan, then I thought off Badrinath, now valley of flowers. After reaching Haridwar I have thought of going to Amristar too by train. In another one and half month not sure what I would add next.

You’ll definitely get rain… and if there is no landslide, then I don’t think rain will be that much of a problem!! In ghangaria, there is a gurudwara where you can stay free of cost. But I stayed at Ghangaria GMVN guest house. Dorm bed 400 per person and double room charge is around 2000/-. You can book online or on the spot (if rooms are available). Kindly check the video description for booking details and contacts. 🙂
