The tranny will do 110 mph so its not really the power thats missing its the suspension. Great commitment by tranny man lol

Yeah, it seems that Honda Transalp guy didn't pass unnoticed. Great rider, indeed! If he only had 150 HP in the straight lines... :D

Love your channel. What tyres are you running in ur races? So good making the big girls dance. Underrated unicorn of adventure bikes. You can then mix it with sports bikes (with the right tyres)on the tarmac. keep up the great work. much respect from Oz.

Mostly MotoZ tyres at the moment! I think they are from Oz (or Aus!). I have a set of street wheels for just the purpose or embarrassing sports bikes!

Great riding looks brilliant fun! Medal must go the rider of the 25 year old Alp! Probably rear drum brake with only a single disc up front....

Hey Edd great ride! What tyres are you using. I seem to really be struggling in sloppy mud not sure if it’s tyres or setup on my suspension
@BikerEddd
@BikerEddd Жыл бұрын
Thank you mate. I think you were next to me on the line right from seeing your video?! I was using motoz enduro ST this race but will go back to my favourite dessert HT for sweet lamb as the enduros just can't hack the abuse. The main thing I find on these adv bikes is tyre width. Are you running custom wheels or stock?
@TubbyTrialTeam
@TubbyTrialTeam Жыл бұрын
@@BikerEddd yeah that was me on your right. I’m running standard rims. I know a lot change to narrow rims. I found at sweetlamb mitas e13. -12 where great. But this time and last year at Walters I just don’t feel confident. A couple of people have said steering dampers are a game changer. 🤷🏻‍♂️
@BikerEddd
@BikerEddd Жыл бұрын
@@TubbyTrialTeam in dry conditions you can get away with pretty much any setup. Muddy stuff not so much. Thin wheels help the tyre to cut down through the mud to find grip. Look at any proper mud Motocross tyre and they're usually around 120 wide. I have 2.5" rear rim and run a 140 rear. Stock is about 4.5" if I remember right. Not sure how steering damper would help. They only really come into play at higher speeds and I think often people just bolt them on as easy bling without actually understanding why they're doing it...

@@BikerEddd brill thanks for your help. I’ll take that on board I’ll Have a look at rims. 👍🏻
@BikerEddd

@@TubbyTrialTeam some people lace to their stock hubs I built a full new set (at great expense) as I wanted to keep road wheels as well. You can drop the front width down to about 1.85 but if you are tight for cash and want mud grip for good value a thinner rear rim would be where I'd personally start!

hi, when i see you racing here in this video ... i have a question: what is the hardest part of it? footpeg work, clutch control, etc, all good, for me it's using the rear brake while doing all this. will you tell us 😎?
@BikerEddd
@BikerEddd Жыл бұрын
For the rear brake most people I see run it in a super low position like it's a road bike. Bring the lever right up. I actually have my lever above the horizontal line with the foot peg makes it much easier to reach in a standing position especially on downhill where it's the most important. As to what I struggle with probably the super technical stuff as I'm not a particularly big guy! 😅
