Great product, I've had had mine for about two years and I'm satisfied with this product....the only thing I had to replace was the upper cable...which was under warranty for 2yrs. In my opinion This is a solid product that gets the job. done...Thanks for the review.

Appreciate the review, only thing to add is to need to see it in use. Most reviews of this don’t show someone using it really loaded up with weight.

the 80" height, is that to the top of beam or to the top of pulleys?

I ended up going with the XMark Lat pulldown instead. I was originally looking at the Valor pulldown but it just looked to cheap. I’m glad I went with XMark because that thing is really thick and as solid as a tank.

Hey there! Was wondering if you could do a “1 year later” updated review with this product? I’m definitely curious about how long the plastic pulleys lasted before you switched them out with the metal versions, as well as any additional thoughts you may have since getting it (ie did you need to replace the cables at any point, any additional modifications, etc) Really appreciate your review and demo vid on this! I actually ordered myself one after seeing your content and would like to implement any and all notes you may have! :) Thanks in advance and congrats on your weight loss journey!

Thank you for your review. I bought this 3-4 years ago. I use this all the time. I love the storage plate holder in the front. You should never move it with weight on it because the metal structure could bend so just a warning. I recently contacted Valor Fitness and I had to buy 2 cables as mine was ripping. It was past the warranty stage. I wanted to ask you where you bought the BLACK METAL PULLEYS?? I saw your comment on someone else's question about where you bought the pully's but not sure what item it is on TSC website. Can you provide a link on the exact pulley you purchased? I wanted to change out these plastic pulley's because I know they are end of life soon. Thanks for your review.

do you have to put equal weight on each side for the pulley to pull smoothly ? unless mines was set up wrong i noticed when i dont put weight on equal weight on each side it kinda drags and dont run smoothly

@@fogt1430 thanks! My cable has gotta so bad, I had to get in touch with the company and they sent me another cable. The instructions says the small ball goes on the bottom and the big end goes in the middle. I guess they meant the other way around. Thanks

Do you have any recommendations for machines similar to this that are similar price and better built? And what attachments does it come with so I know what ones to get for it? Thanks
@fogt1430
@fogt1430 5 жыл бұрын
It comes with the full length lat pulldown bar and the small bar to do curls or tricep extensions. I feel like the thickness of the metal is ok it is just the design of how it bolts together. From what I have seen to go better cost closer to $500. I havent seen much in between. If you are patient you could probably get a good quality used machine. Thanks for watching.
@joegould7459

@@fogt1430 thanks for the info. So should I try to reinforce the metal some how or replace some of the parts? Is It to point where it would fall over if pulled on aggressively? Thanks birthday coming up and talked to my parents and they are good with this price range so I'll stick with this and hope it works well.
@fogt1430
@fogt1430 5 жыл бұрын
@@joegould7459 I would not worry about it falling over. The sway does not effect they function or safety it is just something that annoys me. I think you will be happy with it especially if you are starting out. I would not worry about reinforcing it until you get it and see how it performs because again it is not at risk of falling. I would keep a eye out for used weights for it. If you are patient you could get weight for under 50 cents a Lb, standard or olympic will work.

How much weight have you personally used on this machine? I can't find anyone actually using this seriously. Just people putting 10Ibs on each side and pulling it. Also I noticed you don't store weights on the lower plate holders, would adding weights help with the over all stability?
@fogt1430
@fogt1430 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. I dont think the extra weight would help. I do store it, but with only one on each side i just lay them on the ground instead of putting them back. I have used 150 lbs on it. Thats a good question because you are right that is always what you see. Maybe I should do a video with some real weight on it.

I have a similar machine, made by amstaff (its literally the same, i wouldn't be surprised if they're made in the same factory) I have put 225 on it with no issues. I find you dont really need more than that unless you're a pro body builder. I've been able to make some great gains on this machine. For the price, its well worth it. Even if you only get 3 years out of it.
