Wouldn't it be easier to record the buttons being pressed while playing the game while wearing this? That way it could record all key bindings over a long period of time allowing you to set multiple instances of what your brain thinks while doing this one key binding?
@elementneonАй бұрын
I imagine the ACTUAL brain mechanics employed while having the thought to click a mouse or press the button for ult are much more subtle chain reactions that stimulate the "muscle memory." The EEG would probably have a difficult time picking them up. I know when I first learned how to juggle I was VERY VERY mindful about my actions, however over time I became so good I could do variation tricks on juggling in different patterns while holding conversations, even doing job interviews while juggling to stay focused on the conversation (ADHD). I suspect that is why when training you need to think of very clear, simple, repeatable visualizations, like "BLUE DOT GO RIGHT" for the EEG brain wave reader to pick the pattern up out of the "noise" of chaotic regular thinking.

2 min in and seeing humanity's finest inventions: G-fuel, Duckttape and some sort of neuro eye tracking controller.
@Steve-xo5pqАй бұрын
Its worth noting that he is not controlling the game with thoughts, but his brain waves. Basically the software detects a spike in whatever area of the brain they have dedicated to a particular keybind and registers an input. Its not really all that different from clicking a mouse or pressing a button on a keyboard. Its still very cool but its important to understand whats going, seeing a lot of freaking out in the comments thinking this is basically mind controlled VR like some ready player one thing 😅

I think it would be better if something like eye tracking was implemented to move the camera. Then the brain controller can focus on dealing with the key presses only instead of trying to do everything at once.

why dont you just record your brain activity when you are actually clicking the mouse? or is that not possible?
@aaronl19Ай бұрын
I’d think that a lot of the brain activity would come from the action of clicking itself, so to actually shoot you’d almost need to pretend to click + visualize the feel of mouse in your hand, but that’s just a guess

Why did John react like that to it being $1000? I could see that being a lot to a new small streamer, but to someone in a major org, with a good size following, and a cameraman and presumably some production team behind camera, $1000 should be nothing. Considering it's a specialized bio-medical device I assumed she was about to say something like $30k-75k.
