It's not so much Increasing the contrast, what it's actually doing is increasing the total dynamic range of the renderer. Still, it increases it by such a small and competetive-safe amount that it really doesn't matter. Turn it off for performance's sake.

Improved clarity increases brightness a little so there is no point to use it if you have the ability to change your monitor setting 👍

It does not affect any lighting sources. It's more of a contrast-like effect on colors. I believe what you're seeing is more likely due to the effect of uneven shading seen on LCD monitors (which is normal for LCD monitors).

Hi KamizWR. Are you using the laptop screen or a connected monitor? The problem stems from using (or having used) multiple monitors. Quickest solution is to hold the Windows key and press P, cycle it till it says PC Screen Only. A restart may be required for the settings to become available again.

There are several reasons this happens. The most common I know of is fixed by disconnecting all monitors except the main monitor and restarting. If that doesn't work try to disable integrated GPU in BIOS or try reinstalling NVIDIA drivers from scratch.

Turn it on if you have a NVIDIA GPU. It reduces system latency which means it improves the responsive of the game and the overall system.

It's not a setting that can be benchmarked like this. I need an external piece of equipment to test it's affect on latency. I'm buying this equipment so future vids will have it. The long answer (without a benchmark), is that the setting is very similar to Nvidia Low Latency mode. There will be a slight FPS impact by turning this ON, but it's worth it since it reduces your input latency effectively making the game smoother and more responsive. If you are experiencing stuttering, hitching, or "lag" I would turn this to OFF (multiple prerendered frames) to reduce those problems. However, if the game is running smooth for you then I would turn this to ON (1 frame prerendered only) in order to remove a few milliseconds of latency and get that extra edge.

I don't think it's 5% fps loss. It's a set number of fps lost. Happens to work out to being 5% on your rig.

Correct. The loss depends on your rig. It also depends on what is actually happening in the game and other things. But it's a good guide line to follow even if the numbers won't be exactly accurate for your rig/scenario. I used a GTX 1070 with an i7 7700k for the test. Anything top end I think would be an unfair comparison.

No matter what I do man my fps drops when I peek the enemy. I enabled fps graph yesterday to confirm it. And it's Dips a very steep 'v' in the graph when the peeked me(a v graph is always there whenever I'm insta dead, i.e the fight was very short) , at times when the fight lasted for more than a second the graph has a less steeper curve 'u' shaped. I DON'T EVEN GET THE TIME TO AIM!. IT'S LIKE MY FPS IS NIGHT AND DAY WITH AND WITHOUT THE ENEMY ON MY SCREEN. Also capping the fps doesn't work. I still freeze up for a split second when enemy comes on screen despite capping it to 60fps. My pc can run the game at 110 fps avg. And I've done almost all sorts of optimization and the problem seems to just persist forever. I finally feel like uninstalling the game. Cause after all windows 10 optimizations every game has seem to improved considerably but this game has had not effect whatsoever. I feel like I should just uninstall this game.

Which means that I can load the map with total ease. So it's only enemy player models that cause the issue. I have watched this other video of yours. This was Infact the first one I watched. @@peacemekka what graphic card do u use? I run with my 1650 super, sometimes have a bug cause framerate drop on the icebox map (I know the map is broken). But other than that, easy to reach 150+ fps with enemies show on the screen... yes this game is broke, a lot actually, I have to face an issue cannot log in to my account this week for no reason.

@Peacemekka You're right the game certainly is badly optimized and shouldn't have these frame drops. You can't fix that, all you can do is tweaks like I show to improve your fps performance and be able to power through some fps drops that you might not be able to otherwise. Although to be honest your FPS drop sounds worse than normal I'd at least try reinstalling to see if it improves.

That's not a bad frametime. Try to make sure you turn off everything you don't need from running in the background, in the system tray, and also you can go to Start > Startup Apps and disable everything in there that you don't use.

This is so strange but, I've tested this when I first installed the game and saw about a 20 fps loss (260 to 240) due to me having a r5 3600 and a 750ti. Months later I just disabled it in the practice range and my fps went from 240 to over 400... Never had this happen before and its boggling me.

I got 400 ONCE at Spike Defuse when staring at the wall. Like... It doesn't matter, I cap the FPS at 225 (triple of 75Hz), but I'm still confused

u could go to display settings and you can play around with the saturation and contrast since digital vibrance doesnt exist for us. in the amd but should work similar if you put 150 on saturation (in my case i guess)

If you like the Clarity. I suggest adding it via monitor settings, or even NVIDIA color settings so as to keep a higher FPS. Windows gives out a test bench version of windows for people like me doing benchmarks. This is because if you switch out hardware (CPU, Vcard, etc) it will after a few changes invalidate your Windows CD KEY since microsoft will consider it a "new" PC. This is why I use a special windows version (with activate windows logo) made specifically for reviewers and for benchmarking - all similar hardware youtube channels do the same. LTT has a video personally explaining this in depth if you want more details.
