Back when Valorant had just released, there wasn’t many skins, a good variety of agents, the mysterious theme playing in the background, everyone starting to learn the game, I also remember when sova darts used to reveal through walls.. peak Valorant I wish they would bring back this sort of theme for the newer episodes and make the game feel more new and og again

I played this when it first came out. Grinded every single day(student during COVID) till mid 2021 and retired. I still feel nostalgic over the day I first opened the game and went into the training arena testing out the new guns as Sova. Made a lot of online friends in game and on discord along the way. literally played this game 24/7 during lockdown because i got nothing better to do inside. when everything on the news was all doom and gloom about the virus, and the isolation from the lockdown was depriving me of any social interaction, this game made those times less excruciatingly lonely. i remember being so tired and falling asleep in the lobby, and i would wake up to this masterpiece of a bgm. so many of my happy, fun, sad and angry memories during the pandemic is me playing this game with my friends. this game has brought me so much closer to my friends despite the pandemic literally leaving us separated for a year. now that life has been returning to normal and we are free to go outside again, i am very thankful for this game for giving me those fun memories during times of loneliness. if this game didn't exist i probably wouldn't be as close as i am to my rl friends today. hearing this bgm and seeing how far this game has come, it makes me want to cry lol. to this day, i still play this game, although not as frequent as 24/7 because that's just insane. this summer i plan on climbing the ranks and get at least ascendant with my og squad during the lockdown. just like the "old" times. i know no one from riot or the valorant dev team would be reading this, but in the off chance that there actually is someone reading this, i just wanted to say: thank you.
