At first it doesn't feel good to play but like an hour later and messing around with some settings it was beginning to feel more natural, I dropped a 46 kill game and I've gotten 2 aces so far, now I know alot of people are brand new and have probably never played this kind of fps before and as someone who plays on pc I have an advantage in terms of game knowledge, but the game is honestly alot of fun, and I have gone against people who are one tapping, I'm really excited to grind comp on console especially considering none of my friends have a PC. Overall I think Riot have done a really good job of porting this game to console

You can ADS and Focus together. Prioritize focuz, and then when using focus mode, use L3 (press down left joystick) and you should ads. Hope this helps

I found a guide for settings for console and turning walking off for focus mode was important, and something I thought was complete opposite of what they have as default...turn default sens low, and turn focus sens to high so basic gameplay is low and you only focus when you need to flick.

There used to be a video in the Valorant files last year that I saw while playing around the game files. It looked like a cutscene and it had Phoenix riding some sort of plane or helicopter. The vehicle in question seemed to have also appeared out-of-bounds in The Range. I guess all of that was for the new tutorial which we now see on the console Valo.

They've reported there won't be any crossplay so that more than likely means you won't be able to use a controller in a PC lobby. They don't have to make the games the same and they can stay completely separate from one another. That alleviates many people's concerns about aim assist and having a controller alloting greater advantage. Many, MANY do NOT want this so unfortunately, I don't see you kicking your feet up anytime soon. No for valo at least😭

It took me a while to figure out the ADS also but you have to be holding Focus then tap R3. I also want to say I play on PS5 and this is my first tac shooter and I’m absolutely loving it! I do play on a 4K monitor with 120 frames and I have Astro A50s so I can hear everything and communicate with my team. My number one suggestion for other new Valorant players is grab a mic! It doesn’t need to expensive like mine, ANY mic will allow you to hear better and communicate with your team.

If you have "Prioritise ADS" on, it should use the normal ADS that PC has. You can only switch between ADS and Focus when aiming with your weapon (I believe by default you press the right stick while aiming), but if you have Prioritise ADS on then it would automatically go back to ADS next time to aim again

I have the beta as well. I pretty much corroborate his sentiments. I definitely prefer valorant on PC, but this is still a blast to play. After a few mins, it felt just as good as PC does albeit a bit slower paced, but still fun and I agree the UI got a much needed face-lift on console... tbh they need to at that into PC too.

Great Video! But I'd like to say that there is a ton of aim assist and it is very strong. It practically stops your curser right on their heads. So, flicking is very easy and the AA removes the wow factor for me, since it happens all the time. Im sure it will be toned down. The best way to see how strong it is, is to go to the practice area and flick on the bots in the range. Then go outside to the target wall and try to flick on the static bot next to it. Its very hard to land a head shot. Great video, i am really loving the console version as well.

They gonna care about valorant on pc on when everyone leaves that's it. Currently every patch or updates brings bugs, high pings they solve it and again a new update and same. Most of the time the game feels stale unlike previously when we had so many agent updates regularly, there was a proper system of releasing agents every act and maps every episode. Now, it's just random, release an agent whenever, map whenever (Abyss is released even though the episode hasn't ended). It's just a mess. And on top the game feels like RNG is at it's peak right now with lower elo players being pushed into higher lobbies where they do the obvious things people in low elo do.

No. Hit stop when taking damage leads to unreactable “ I saw you first “ type of death that feel bad . Accuracy is actively being forced to 0% when doing any kind of maneuvering which means no tactical movement or real avenue for outplaying someone with a combination of movement and accuracy and again just over reliance on “I saw you first” situations which just don’t feel logical cuz other times you will turn corners and get instantly killed with one bullet from and smg or fake ak-47 from across the map. I’ve been researching for the last 24 hrs and ppl are stating that this game is plagued with xim abusers and other forms of cheaters . Which would explain some of the unrealistic accuracy I’ve been experiencing. And I’m not just a casual or some fake hardcore casual either lol I’m an above average player at the very least in terms of playing shooters competitively . Most games I turn off aim assist etc . It just feels extremely stiff on console imo. If you take gun fire it’s like you are walking in quick sand and you will never turn and shoot the guy before you are finished off. And another weird thing is you’ll be in 2 v 1 or 3 v 2 situations and somehow put in more work on both enemies than the 2 team mates beside you combined! Idk lol I just don’t know. And I was actually really excited to play this . Especially with the wonky hit detection of Xdefiant. I was truly hoping this would rinse some of that taste out of my mouth but instead it’s like someone just put banana cream pudding all over my shit sandwich and I really don’t like banana cream pudding. I personally like when I can react to gunfire in a game more than just drop shotting or bunny hopping . And it’s made worse when they have stopping power on hit . I need tactical maneuvering or an overshield system should be added or something.

Everyone complaining about console aiming making it impossible to headshot consistently never saw how skilled can be some players on console. I'm an old Call of Duty player (MW2 mainly) and I clearly remember being a beast at aiming with a controller at some point. Did tournaments (e-sniping) etc and aiming was very easy at the time. Of course with some aim assist but who cares if the game is still about skill?

not only did they make an awesome port, and improve the user experience from the pc version, but they also set a new standard for ports of pc shooter games, fixed the aim assist issue, AND they listened to the community and didn't add any crossplay (altough i would be mad seeing some crossplay for swifts for exemple). This and the fact that we now know they're finally working on a replay system to the game makes me hope that this means they're gonna bring some of the changes they made for the console version to the pc version, and that we'll see them listening closer to the community as a whole in the near future

Have played val console for around 10 hours now. And this game is nothing like the pc. Been playing pc val since beta, and console val is so heavily favoured and influenced by aim assist during gun fights. Almost every gun fight is 50/50 even when you’ve got the advantage angle wise. Which is not at all what valorant is about, in higher ranks on pc you don’t loose gunfights because of luck it’s all aim skill, whereas on console high levels of aim skill does not favour you at all, the aim assist makes it so 50/50, it’s almost as if it’s a whole new game.

Im hoping they rework the money system in this game for not only console cus they have too but for PC as well. Hopefully they add a store where you can buy any skin you want from past bundles, but itll be full price, the random store is dumb. The new bundles that release should be more discounted, then when the 2 weeks is up its more expensive bc you missed out. Also they should rework or just remove upgrading skins. Because the console players needing to upgrade all the skins they buy will be ruthless.
