Just yesterday I was playing val after getting home from the office and the games were not good, was pretty much getting the red carpet so I decided to get into range, do the exercises that coach Woohojin said to do and went into deathmatch, I really don't like deathmatch because of toxicity and low kill rate but I decided fk it, imma go anyway, got just... decent score and was confident to go in comp and was surprisingly doing way much better, at first, the enemy team called me smurf and threatened me to leak my address but I thought it was just a joke and the enemy team was just tilted but not only they leaked my home address but also office address. So no thank you, I'm done playing this game, it doesn't worth more than my family.

Hey Justin, I just watched this video and I think you need to clarify that even if you have a vpn, different aliases across the social medias, THE INTERNET IS NOT SAFE, and hackers will not get punished unless it somehow bothers the fed. Also if your address is being leaked, ignore it, worst they can do is to swat you/hit you off, which you can avoid by just asking ur router company to get a new ip

@norcobick you cant get an ip through voice or in anyway through val i dont get why you would think that it going through riot client would let them get your ip. Riot client is a program just like how val is a program it still has to go through riot servers just like val does. Also you cant get a precise location from an ip you can get there city and internet provider but that is it.

One thing is your account can be deleted or hacked for data breach issues, which happened to me. With 2FA activated, they changed everything even the username, IGN even if it's not allowed because I changed in before the month is over and password for no reason. I've told riot this but still no replies. My account which I spent my life building is gone. Will update you guys about this after a while. I'm not hacked in my PC or comprised. But please change your passwords and logout to all accounts once in a while because everyone can be attacked by this. It's just a cycle of broken security. I hope this helps everyone!

Riot knows your IP address, assuming you dont use a vpn. But the point of the video was to say that it can be super super simple to find someone’s information because of what is essentially a bread crumb trail because you have information about you in social media accounts which you use the name of across different sites
