Any Finnish people here can translate what Valtteri and Kimi are saying respectively? Thank you in advance!
@Frozeni2 жыл бұрын
For sure, need to add subtitles at some point :) 0:32-> V: Now it was a race you can be happy with, first win and it took some time, over 80 races and quite a few years, but it was worth to wait for the opportunity. And completely different starting point this year with a competitive car, so it was just a matter of time where everything went spot on. And it was actually the first race where there was no problems, start was good, tires worked well and car overall didnt have any technical problems. One of the best races of mine so i am happy of the race, and more of these, lets try get more points on next race and this is good to continue on. And now i think its good opportunity to thank everyone who has supprted me along the way, its one more step in my career and means alot to me, thanks to everyone for helping and cheers to home, and happy May Day :) K: Well, congratulations to Valtteri, flnnish guy atleast won so it was good, so yeah, a bit poor start and after that there didnt quite happen much in the race, we drove in line without huge differences, but enough still. Quite a similar race how it has been here in many years before, overall it was an OK race compared to previous races of this season from me, but ofcourse you always want more and better places, but hopefully we'll get to better speed from here and see how the next race goes.

There's quite an interesting reason for that, finnish has the casual, spoken language (what they are talking) and a book language (where you can tell that they're saying words and not just going "jdajdjfjsdfjkfhfhs") The spoken language is like when you type "ur" instead of "you're/your" except that finnish has the same treatment for every single word.

Here's the winner! Valtteri wins the race! His careers first win in F1! It's not a dream! Its as true as it can be! Cut to the interview Valtteri Bottas: This was a race I can be happy with, first win and it took a long time, over 80 races. And many years. But it was worth it and im glad I waited for the shot. I had very different starting points this year, compared to last year. Now I have a raceable car, it was a matter of time that everything succeeds. This was my first race that there weren't any problems with anything. The start was great, the tires were great, there also wasn't any problems with the car, so this was my personal best race ever. And I am very pleased with this race. I hope there are more races like this, and to get more scores from races. This is a very good point to go on and a good moment to thank everyone that has supported me trough these years. This has been one step forward in my career and it means a lot to me. Thank you everyone and greetings to home! Also happy first of may everyone! (A Holiday celebrated in Finland) Kimi Räikkönen: Congratulations Valtteri *akward back tap*. Atleast a Finnish person won. That's good. There hasn't been much happening in the races lately. There wasn't much point differenes, but still enough. It was an ok race for me, compared to my last ones. But I guess you always want more. I hope that everything goes better for me in the future. Lets see how I do in the next race. End. That would probably because every single element of Finnish is backwards from everything you already know. And even if you are reasonably talented when it comes to language learning (which I'd assume you would be speaking four languages) that is going to trip you up no matter what.

its pacing, sometimes we repeat words and sayings (often stall words).
@AnnaMarianne2 жыл бұрын
Probably because of the intonation (or the lack of it). Finnish is spoken in relative monotone, with pretty even stress and intonation. You can sometimes kinda hear when someone is about to end their speech from their voice getting lightly raspier.
