Tonixxy When you “mirror” someone you’re talking to you’re basically making subtle movement to copy their posture, hand gestures, etc. pretty much reciprocating their same movements and energy, “mirroring”. I can say this works well when doing job interviews. (This is isnt mirroring) I used to be in a classroom with a girl next to me and one time I would keep switching my hand and arm positions while sitting down PURPOSELY to see if it would work, crossing my arms, one leg on top the other, one arm on the desk the my chin rested on my other hand etc etc. And every single thing I did she would follow. I would wait and hold the position to be sure that she wasnt just coincidentally doing it herself then wait until I was sure she was comfortable then I’d do a whole different position and sure enough her body would do exactly what mines did lmao that’s not exactly mirroring but to me it shows that she was to a degree looking at me or paying attention to me. Try it yourself. You’ll find yourself copying other people’s movements and gestures too without even realizing it when engaging in convos or interviews.

Damn, if it was that easy to get cash from the mafia, they could still run their credit operations and be a great competition to normal banks. I know I'd really contemplate whether I wanna go to a bank and go through the mountain of regulations, and maybe get approved next year, or go to a mobster, pay a slightly higher interest, and get approved in 2 hours without much paperwork.

My dad used to run circles in Europe (he retired age 50 couple decades ago and went living in Thailand) Been around it and seen what type of life this is. Never stepped into it, even when he wanted to offer me a good sum of weekly pay to go out there and collect. It’s a lifestyle most cannot here comprehend.and it’s not glamours, my dad had to at one point arm himself. One of his business partners house got shot up . Family house 6 bullets through the front door while wife and kids were at home. They had wiretaps (nothing on it they were smart) they know who we were, hell everybody knew. The flashy cars, bigger house, villa in Thailand for retirement. He paid taxes over his legal business.. Some here glamorously talk about it like It’s cool and makes them look like tough guys. I also seen the darker side of that life, a man that changed into a man that became numb. Towards the people he loves, marriage issues drug issues, protecting your part of the business. The loss of friends due to death or other suspicious circumstances. I can tell stories too plenty .. it’s not glamorous, or cool, or something to be proud off. I hand it to my old man he raised me well. But I never stepped into his footsteps and I am glad I didn’t ..

They likely weren't gonna ask Franzese to do a hit or rough people up when there were 100 other guys that could do it who made much less money for the family. Why would the boss put his "golden goose" at risk of being convicted of a murder and cut off the millions of dollars he was bringing into the family. Especially when doing "work" wasn't his forte. That said...being a made guy...if they did ask him to do a hit he wouldn't have been able to say no.

But once the omertà was broken and the snitching began. It became just another gang. It couldn’t compete with the gangs that run the streets today.
