I loved hearing about that art glass from Polland. I bought a blown glass vase from Goodwill for $5. It looked very similar to Murano. Turns out it's Chribska glass from Czechoslovakia worth up to $100.

Bargains are out there, even at Goodwill. I hope you received an accurate appraisal on your piece.

@@DrLoriV technically not an appraisal, just a general price range found for similar pieces made by Josef Hospodka. Still, it's too beautiful to sell. It's pink faded into blue encased in clear glass and weighs quite a bit.

@@Surrender17 Ok, just so you understand that a price is not a value. It doesn't matter if you want to sell it or not. You may find my article on this helpful at www.drloriv.com/Blog/ID/4190/Three-Antiques-Values-you-Must-Know explaining a price vs. a value.

Hello Dr.Lori I am from Quincy, Illinois and I was binge watching you how can you tell if items such as paintings are acidic from someone putting harmful chemicals on a painting and other items? Thank You so much

Good question to ask during my next Ask Dr. Lori LIVE video.
