In this video I present the problem of Ford Model T two piece valves, and the work I did to install new valves.

Great work, love these engines. Tip: you can make your own copper head gaskets. Allen Millyard has a video on how he does it.

Nice video. One thing: the horseshoes on your wall are hanging with the opening downwards. Then the luck can fall out of them. Thats what my late father once told me.

I never did get that valve timing thing through my head. Just went with 20 thou and it runs fine . Cheers

Many people were saying that on the Model T forum, I just did it to be sure I had put everything back together correctly. It did show my cam is worn a little, but it is not too bad.

I would have included how to remove the valves and inspection of the retainers, for a complete valve job video.

Your not grinding the valves, your simply ‘Lapping’ them ( big difference) , I grind ‘usable’ old valves with my Sioux valve grinding machine. I also grind seats if needed with a Souix seat grinding motor and stone set . Both seats and valves still have to be lapped as a final step to seal right .
