What does the test show?
The more weights you manage to put on the machine until it stops, the stronger the oil film tested will be. The test examines the oil film's resistance to tearing.
The sample is measured with a micrometer - the lower the result with a given load (the gouge in the sample is smaller), the oil will give better protection to the engine.
The table will give the result of the gouge of the sample, the number of weights put on the machine, the temperature when the machine is stopped.

So as expected, MaxLife 5w40 is A3/B4 is better due to more Moly content. I would like to see Valvoline SynPower 0w40 A3/B4 (this has esters in it) and Liqui Moly Synthoil Race Tech GT1 10w60 (one of the few PAO+AN oils that also have Moly from Liqui Moly).

I repeat, it cannot be that a hot oil is less lubricating than a cold oil, it would not make sense. For me there is something that doesn't add up. The oil manufacturers themselves say that the oil works when it is hot, because of the additives, you have to heat the oil more, otherwise it is a useless test.

There are many technicalities in oils which is why I tell you to heat the oil well because 50° is too little for oil, at least 70° and you will see that the results will change.
