1Ouve, Senhor, a minha justa queixa;
atenta para o meu clamor.
Dá ouvidos à minha oração,
que não vem de lábios falsos.
1Hear, O Lord, my righteous complaint;
attend to my cry.
Give ear to my prayer,
which does not come from lying lips.
2Venha de ti a sentença em meu favor;
vejam os teus olhos onde está a justiça!
2Let judgment come from you;
let your eyes see where justice lies!
3Provas o meu coração e de noite me examinas;
tu me sondas e nada encontras;
decidi que a minha boca não pecará
3You test my heart and examine me in the night;
you search me but find nothing;
you decide that my mouth will not sin
4como fazem os homens.
Pela palavra dos teus lábios
eu evitei os caminhos do violento.

By the word of your lips
I have avoided the ways of the violent.
5Meus passos seguem firmes nas tuas veredas;
os meus pés não escorregaram.
5My steps have been firm in his paths;
my feet have not slipped.
6Eu clamo a ti, ó Deus, pois tu me respondes;
inclina para mim os teus ouvidos
e ouve a minha oração.
6I call to you, O God, for you answer me;
incline your ear to me
and hear my prayer.
7Mostra a maravilha do teu amor,
tu, que com a tua mão direita salvas
os que em ti buscam proteção
contra aqueles que os ameaçam.
7 Show the wonder of your lovingkindness,
you who with your right hand save
those who seek refuge in you
from those who threaten them.
8Protege-me como à menina dos teus olhos;
esconde-me à sombra das tuas asas,
8 Protect me as the apple of your eye;
hide me in the shadow of your wings,
9dos ímpios que me atacam com violência,
dos inimigos mortais que me cercam.
9 from the wicked who attack me with violence,
from the deadly enemies who surround me.
10Eles fecham o coração insensível
e com a boca falam com arrogância.
10 They close their hard hearts
and speak arrogantly with their mouths.
11Eles me seguem os passos e já me cercam;
seus olhos estão atentos,
prontos para derrubar-me.
11 They follow me and surround me;
their eyes are watchful,
ready to close me.
12São como um leão ávido pela presa,
como um leão forte agachado na emboscada.
12 They are like a lion greedy for prey,
like a lion crouching in ambush.
13Levanta-te, Senhor!
Confronta-os! Derruba-os!
Com a tua espada livra-me dos ímpios.
13 Arise, O Lord!
Confront them! Strike them down!
With your sword rescue me from the wicked.
14Com a tua mão, Senhor,
livra-me de homens assim,
de homens deste mundo,
cuja recompensa está nesta vida.
Enche-lhes o ventre de tudo
o que lhes reservaste;
sejam os seus filhos saciados,
e o que sobrar fique para os seus pequeninos.
14With your hand, O Lord, deliver me from such men, from the men of this world, whose reward is in this life. Fill their bellies with all that they store up; let their children be satisfied, and let their little ones be spared.
15Quanto a mim, feita a justiça, verei a tua face;
quando despertar, ficarei satisfeito
ao ver a tua semelhança.
15As for me, when justice is done, I will see your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with your likeness.
