Wow, okay. I think this edit is my favourite now. It seems like it's from Dimitris POV and I love that. After this video I hope that some of you who were calling him a jerk realize how his world turned upside down just as well as Rose's. I tend to excuse everything she does because Rose Hathaway is Rose Hathaway and we love her. But I couldn't excuse her continuingly beating Dimitri up after he was knocked-out alredy. I know she's spiraling and has broken up with both Dimitri and Lissa - but Dimitri has lost everything after the trip into the human world and after this fight: he has lost his trust in himself, he has lost his faith, he has lost his honor and he has lost Rose. And while Rose does have other people around, he has no one left. This video feels so calm even though it is showing how much frustration is between these two. But that makes it even more beautiful. They have a long way to go to reconsile but you can tell they will. It's not hatred between them, it's simply the fact that Rose wants a rebellion and Dimitri needs the world to stay as it is. Both of them need to learn how to forgive the other for needing his own time to figure out stuff. I hope we will get to see that journey in a second season

EXACTLY!! I was so confused about why people got mad at him and/or didn't understand "his" actions but he's a victim here. He grew up in believing in something, he can't change his mind in a day. He is so lost at the moment and Tatiana is MANIPULATING him. It is so clear to me that he's a victim in all of this and all he needs is protection and a lot of hugs, honestly.

Honestly I think this shows a different side of their relationship the push and pull while it happens in the books but not like this and I love it. I just want rose to full on let the darkness in especially if her and mason do runaway for a while but he gets killed by strigoi and rose just snaps.

Ive been wanting to leave a comment for so long. You did such an amazing job, capturing the pure journey of their love story. this song is so haunting, and utterly beautiful. i have to admit i am truly obsessed with this show. they have magic between them, their chemistry is out of this world. It bruises me, on how much pain, and sorrow they both endure. especially at this point Dimitri had his faith and job and duty to fall back on. And rose lost the 2 greatest loves in her life, Dimitri and Lissa. she was alone, all she wanted was him. and as much as he aches, and yearned and pushed, he wanted her. it was sad to see her pain, and at the end...he surrenders. its not that he let her win, he didnt want to fight her, the system. at the end he proved to put her first, he always chose Roza. but, at what cost. If they cant be together. How do you fight a fight where noone can really win. Thank you for all youre fantastic videos on these two loves. astonishing really.

That last line! The movie portraied Rose as some arrogant troublemaker just being dragged along for the ride. Book Rose was a little better, but not by much. This one actually feels like a revolutionary with a clear goal and a sufficiant level of rationality, when it´s required and it´s clear that she does what she does not just for herself and Lissa, but for everyone. She strives to make things better and she´s not being a hypocrite, when she encourages others to challange the system, because she plans on leading by example (already is). That´s the kind of thing that inspires true loyalty, like we saw with Meredith, Sasha and even Christian to an extend. Personally, I think it would be really cool, if (many seasons down the line) Rose were to somehow end up as the Dominion´s first democratically elected leader and bring about the changes that her foster family had been hoping for, back when André was still next in line for the throne.

The show does add scenes and storylines that weren't in the book since it's an adaptation of the source material and not the source material itself :) I personally expected everything to go down after our happy couple going into ep. 7, but who could have known HOW bad it would go? But let's be honest... This is way more interesting now that it would have been if they were just dating. Couple are always more interesting when you sense that there is something between them but there's also something holding them back. I'm sure we will get some more cute Romitri - we just have to be patient and give them room to figure out what they really want - as a dhampir, as a Guardian, as man and woman :)

😆 lol man i was nervous haha I really once again checking to make sure that kiss wasn't in here I'm glad it wasn't please try not to judge me but anyway this song definitely fits them and it's beautiful even though guess I get it dimitri pissed me off so did rose by using mason she needs to be honest with him man I really wish dimitri would stand up for what's right and stop being used fight back this really broke heart the only thing liked is that she said you in love with that girl and he didn't deny that's I liked I get that he needs to go on a journey to figure himself out but why turn to her she's everything that's wrong with the system I hate character I loved that he chose rose in the fight that chose rose over duty in that fight hopefully rose still runs away in last episode but I hope theirs a twist where mason doesn't go with rose I want to see rose journey in the human world for while and season 2 it will be time jump where she's learns things how to drive experience new things explore new hairstyle and fashion changes and wearing a little make up and for sisi to learn new fighting skills get more fighting so rose can get more scenes for her to figure herself out and start getting her emotions in check for her character to become a little wiser and become the guardian she wants to become but then eventually she's forced come back because of lissa and the bond

So I'll preface this by saying that I haven't read the books, but apparently at the beginning of the first book Rose and Lissa run away to the human world for two years after Lissa's family dies in the car accident and then Dimitri and some other guardians eventually find them and bring them back to the academy and that's where the story starts. So there's a theory going around that since they didn't have Lissa and Rose runaway together at the beginning of the series in the show that something will happen and Mason will end up not running away with Rose and then Rose will end up running away with Lissa instead to the human world at the end of this season and then season 2 will start with Dimitri finding Rose and Lissa in the human world 2 years after the end of season 1 and bringing them back to the academy. Book fans have said that the show isn't following the books exactly and have apparently rearranged the order of various plot points from the entire book series. Like I've heard that in season 1 there are storylines from at least books 1, 2 and 6. So the series isn't doing things in order and is really doing more of its own thing, but still takes inspiration from the books at least and it definitely seems plausible that Rose and Lissa will be the ones to runaway together at the end of the season. I really hope that's what ends up happening cause 1. Dimitri looking for them and eventually finding them in the human world at the beginning of season 2 would be such a kick ass way to start the next season 2. They would still be incorporating parts of the books in some ways into the series which I think would be cool even though I've never read the books and 3. I don't want Mason to be the one to run away with Rose either. I just don't really think it makes sense for either of their characters at this point in the series and also because, like you said, Rose is using him, she doesn't love him, she only asked him to run away with her because the person she is actually in love with ended things with her and chose his duty as a guardian over his love for her. If this theory ends up being correct, I feel like in the next episode or two Mason will realize that Rose is actually in love with Dimitri and then he'll decide not to run away with her. Although I don't know how Lissa will then be brought into the mix, but there's 2 episodes left and a lot could happen from now until then so you never really know.

​@@kitcat4058 I think the reason this theory exists is because, at ComicCon, Plec said they were starting the show before Lissa and Rose run away from St. Vladimir’s. However, the clip at 3:48 of the Set Tour video contravenes the theory about Mason not running away with Rose.
