This song plays when D tells the boy he must be strong for his sister. That its okay for men to cry when they need to, but also that we need to stay courageous for those we care for.

I saw this movie years ago when the then Sci-Fi channel had Adventures in Japanese animation. I can say with pride this is one of the films that brought about my love for anime. The intense story, the charatcers. The passion, love, and craftsmanship are superb. The music like this little track is glorious. And the original dub is really good.

You and I are the same. I saw this movie on the Sci-Fi channel as a teenager, by chance. Eve since then, I have upheld this film as a one of the best in anime. It still holds a special place in heart to this day.

I think I saw this when I was 11 on tbs. Hearing the part that plays when D's looking over Doris' weapons makes me feel calm or sentimental

I recently noticed that in the final scene D is carrying her sword as his own was broken fighting the count.

The English/American actors did a fine job on this movie and lines like 'your out of line' to hand will resonate with me for the rest of my life along with the score. If it was in the original Japanese language u don't think id have the same appreciation. Classic shout from the person who already mentioned the out of line convo.

The quotes I have, and always will, pull from this life affirming masterpiece are seemingly endless. That one you mention in particular, my brothers and I have always used (in D's voice) since we first saw this as kids. There are just so many others as well... 'so he got away...' 'D...you can...if you want to...' 'I once heard of a mutant who could twist space around him, and now it seems I've met him' 'We need more' 'The old ones like him are powerful, almost invincible.' just to shout a few. Pieces of art like this are only a few a lifetime in my opinion, and the love I have for this film in particular goes right down to the very marrow of what I am. Actually no, I'd say it IS the very marrow of what I am.

Everyone here has formed some incredible memories of this film that relate to the original dub, me too. I saw it for the first time nearly 25 years ago as of writing this and fell in love ever since. I want to get the BluRay version but the original Streamline Pictures dub is close to my heart.

Very emotional composition here. I remember this from the scene where D's left hand lectures him about Doris, to which D says "You're out of line." For the most part, this track gets me all sedimental.
