I don't think it will happen, one of the protagonists has already died and the show would feel a little or very empty, I think that if Fine was going to die in the end they would have delayed his death a couple of seasons to investigate more in the world of the series and answer the unanswered questions

Don’t read this if you haven’t finished the anime already🌛🌛 This anime was really moving… might have cried at some point🥲… The big picture story telling was top notch but I felt some little details weren’t really put to the scene; - they didn’t show momo’s (the supposed human)reaction to pain much, but focused more on that of Fine in the whole series)….an example is the scene where Fines vampire friend stabbed momo in the throat but in the next scenes nothing is shown on that; but then we constantly see Fine constantly fatigued - Another one is how did Fine know that momo was drowning in the flooded submarine, when we all know that Fine was unconscious inside the casket at that point - Also aren’t the vampires supposed to he afraid of the sun but then we see a part in episode 5, where after Fine finally stops momo’s uncle, she and momo literally fly away from the darkness into the light…. Also Fine’s death where the sun was literally in her face but she wasn’t burning There are more I noticed too but let me stop here. If there’s gonna be a season two I hope they put these things into consideration

If animation is the only reason one plans to watch this series for... Sure. I guess? It's really not all that great. Apparently you haven't seen how great the animation of the other several thousand anime ghibli has nothing to do with. All-in-all ghibli has like 15~ total productions which score higher than 80%. While I do agree that their quality out weighs their quantity-- they aren't the best at all. They simply marketted into the right areas at the right times.

This could be a big hit or miss under the radar. Wit Studio's record of original anime (not manga adaption) series looks pretty good, but none really stood out much attention. Great Pretender did pretty well, but original anime series need more than just 'decent' to pull audience since there are many great animes outside Netflix already. Unlike manga adaption anime series, original has no base fans as the work is from scratch. Also Netflix needs to do way more in the area of anime rather than just merely jump in the market, lack of intense investment and licensing dedication of potential new titles has led to Netflix falling very behind in anime. There are hardly anything coming out in the anime sector from Netflix other than small unknown titles or western title anime style. Even Disney+ who just hop in the anime market is already doing more for a major title starting with 'Summer time rendering'. Netflix could have further increase subscription numbers and revenue by licensing or co-sponsor new titles which can take away a chunk from Crunchyroll's 120 million users with their better streaming service than Crunchyroll and grab a majority market share in the anime streaming market, they lost the opportunity.

Guys, despite how it looks like, it's not a series. This is a movie, best to watch it in one session. That being said, it's pretty good as a movie. May have worked better as a 12 episode series. Watch if you like vampires, romance or post-apocalyptic stories like Wolf's Rain.

I decided to watch dis bc i was bored and had absolutely no expectations bc I know anime and I've watched so much, n only few were actually "good" but this, this had me watching episodes to episodes and how incredibly sad I was when I realized there was only 5 episodes. I immediately fell in love w the characters, I've never watched an anime were I never found any of the characters annoying. Everything was so smart, realistic, and beautiful. Even doe the ending broke me and I usually end up hating endings like this but they do hav to keep it realistic and i respect that. This will for sure still be one of my top anime list. I just love the story, the characters, the action, the friendship. Lastly, Fine made me question my gender😳
