I really love all your content, but most especially these vampire bookshelf updates. As a fellow bibliophile, it's a joy to watch someone discuss how wonderful the _thingness_ of books is.

The oldest living vampire sounds very Clan of the Cave Bear, but with vampires! I mean, I could be wrong, but it's what immediately came to mind.

Greetings from Fairbanks, Alaska. The “30 Days of Night” movie is infamous here. It’s 👏🏽 So 👏🏽Bad! Starting with the part where it’s waaaay more than 30 days in what used to be called Barrow.

A minor note about *Night Shift* : _"Jerusalem's Lot"_ is far more a Lovecraft pastiche and only a vampire tale in passing. The legitimate vampire story: _"One for The Road"_ is meant to be a standalone epilogue to Salem's Lot proper. So be wary of spoilers.

Lovecraft also wrote a story that was only a vampire tale in passing. It's called The Shunned House, and the vampire is predictably bizarre.

I have the copy of Dracula with the flowers on the cover. The notes throughout it are absolutely fantastic. I really enjoyed reading it and learnt a lot about the backstory of the book's writing process from it.

I do not know if you are aware of it, but there was a Scooby Doo adaptation of Phantom of the Opera called Scooby Doo! Stage Fright which has many inter4esting references to the book within including an attempted burning of the Opera House, a prima donna named Lotte, a twisted ingenue named Chrissy, and a mysterious phantom who resists all attempts at unmasking and continues to trouble the production until the film's end. I know that your show is focused on Vampire Reviews and such; however, I would be curious to hear your thoughts on this particular adaptation of your favorite book and movie monster, if at all possible.

Lovely video as always. That leatherbound edition of Dorian Gray is my absolute fave, between the beautiful print to the thick pages, it feels absolutely sinful to read it (which is definitely in-keeping with the subject matter) As for the Mummy sequels, I ask that you don't make the mistake of marathoning them. I made that mistake the first year I got the complete legacy collection and it nearly killed me. The plots are barely different from one movie to another. They can be a lot of fun to watch, but definitely not like that

1981 was a very good year for werewolves seeing as how the howling and American werewolf came out in that year and their make up sites were unparalleled although I prefer American werewolf in London to the howling as much as I love vampires I also love werewolves

I'm already apologizing to you for the misogyny in death note. it's very good, but we all agree that misa-misa deserved better. lemme tell you that the authors were never capable of writing a good female character in their careers (yet. we can hope). it's also very difficult to meet someone that never experienced death note before. I hope you have a great time.

Also Ray Penbars wife is treated awfully by her husband! The light novel about her is great! She deserved better!
@inshayana2 жыл бұрын
@@patrickbraue4644 yeah. But... I mean. They wrote "a very good cia agent" and the only thing they could do for her was "making her the wife of a better cia agent". She's another one that deserved better. You're completely right, the novel is what she deserved and I'm glad it wasn't the original author writing it hahahha
