@@defies4626 Ah, 'tis a sad tale. No, not really, actually quite funny. Based on his appearance both the rescue he came from, and Jon & Claire, believed him to be a Labrador crossed with some amount of hound, essentially he looks like a small Lab. They got his DNA checked to see if there were any indications of potential health problems, and had him breed typed at the same time. Turns out he is, in fact, 3 different breeds of Spaniel with a bit of Boxer. Of all the breeds that were significant, not a whiff of Lab. Jon went on a very funny rant about how Teddy had betrayed him, and was "Three spaniels in a trenchcoat" - I think it's at the start of the last but one Livestream, possibly the Marvel Midnight Suns one. So he is, as Claire rightly said 100% good boy, and that is what matters (though he apparently has the Boxer talent for room-clearing flatulence!) I hope that makes some sense!!!

Pro Tip: When the next upgrade to a weapon would be a curse, you may want to use one of your Banishes to keep that weapon from appearing as a choice. So when you see the level 8 option of the sword appear, banish it; you'll still have the level 7 sword and you won't be forced to upgrade it to the cursed version.

If you wait until after you pick up every trinket you can, you can get all the extra trinkets (and eve nthe sword) as an additional item. You can get like 3-4 rows of items on this map lol Edit: for the record, you can also turn on arrows for all the various items and stuff; helps you find them easier without consistently checking the map.

Am I wrong, or is the charakter MATN is using here a Tanuki from japanese folklore. If so, it is too sad that John didn't know that, considering that would give the sack the figure has swung over his shoulder a lot of comedic meaning.

It is. The map itself is more heavily based in Japanese folklore, since you end up fighting youkai, oni (Jon's "trolls" [they would seem more like ogres]), tanuki, and kappa, compared to the usual bats and skeletons.

I'd love to see you kill death in livestream or video format. It can be done without cheating exploiting mechanics. You need to evolve two specific items and get a lot of XP to upgrade all the things you need to do it though. Won't spoil which items or how to get them to evolve in case you want to discover it for yourself.

Thanks Jon, I snagged Vampire Survivors after your first video, and have had a lot of fun with it so far. Haven't had a chance to try the DLC stuff yet (still trying to finish unlocking all the secret characters). Keep working on it, you'll beat death eventually. :) Laurel and the thing that freezes enemies (clock lancet?) are a good start, just need to get some high damage weapons for the other slots to take out his massive hp..

Once you get the yellow sign from moonglow the accessories needed to evolve clock work lanscet and laurel spawn on the map. Evolved lancet cuts an enemies health in half each time it procs and evolved laurel reduces the max damage you can take in one hit to 10 and has it does 1% of the reapers max health each hit. Reapers get 655k health per character level so normal weapons aren't going to do any significant damage to them Even if you were doing 100k dps a lv 100 reaper would take about 11 minutes to kill. Toastie at lv 200 gets a massive bonus to armor and health and will eventually kill the reaper.

Laurel can apply against the end game reaper, and if you're trying to survive for several minutes after 30, the clock lancet can freeze him too.

Jon, online or offline, you gotta play more of this game. There's soo much more to this game than meets the eye. Just the fact that you haven't beaten Cappella Magna yet and unlocked the yellow sign is an indication that you have soo, soo much more to do. There's like... Twice as many characters left to unlock. Multiple items that don't even spawn in yet. Beating the reaper... Then beating multiple reapers at once. Then beating an entire group of reapers at once. And much more. Don't sleep on this game. It's way bigger than it appears

Ive found that the big guys/champions are tough no matter what weapons you have; I had one game where I got axe, dagger, the fire wand, spinach and all were at least rank 4 or 5, and even the early champions were still tanky as hell. it can be frustrating, as it makes certain builds tough, but when they finally go down its an extra burst of happy-brain-juice
