This song and "Private Beach" encompass and incapsulate all of the 80s nouveau riche and bubble era of Japan as I have read about it. Classy, rich, a bit impudent, arrogant, very capitalist, lux, meant to accompany the nights where everything is allowed, possible, buyable and nothing is sinful. I love the feeling of that era so much

Cochi Cassanova It is? I didn’t know she was the original singer. The two artists worked super close together I’ve heard, with some radio shows exploring that Kadomatsu-san “created” Anri and greatly influenced her aesthetic.
@nyutamoto_4 жыл бұрын
If you check Wikipedia, at Toshiki's page, Fly by Day is listed as a vinyl single, with the songs "It's Hard To Say Goodbye" and "Do You Wanna Dance", while at ANRI's page it is not even listed, but if you google it more, you can see that ANRI released an vinyl with the name of "Fly by Day" with a B-side on it - so I can't be quite sure of which one is the original, but I do think Toshiki's one is the original, since it is listed.

I remember the 80’s in Japan in a past life, I was this cocky devil may care young adult, living it up; partying,girls,style the whole nine yards. Unfortunately lived a short life this real estate agent who looked like he could pass as a yakuza member, wearing a white suit bumped into me, I being entitled demanded an apology, he turned around and was a intimidating guy but I had my boys so ya know we weren’t scared and tried to fight him. Got the stuffing beat outta us loss some cash cuz he took it, but whatever. Later the evening I was driving home when this same guy with another yakuza looking guy and a girl who seemed blind or something were driving on the highway and they started shooting! I tried to avoid it and got shot by the same guy who beat me and my boys! Crashed the car and it friggin exploded instantly killing me! Good times all around before all that though
