I love this channel, great entertainment value. Part of me does wonder though if it’s a parody show of all the van building channels on KZbin, all that’s missing are the BBC3 credits to roll at the end.. perhaps a credit to how the shows are edited and produced coupled with the fact you are so open about your experiences - keep it up!

Caught up on all your stuff and you've made such a massive amount of progress, on that van itself but also on the skills you're learning along the way! One thing I got slightly confused about was what are the box lids for? If they're just gonna be sealed off like. Since you've got the lids though, you could make them small bits of storage for stuff you don't often use maybe. Also, knobs look great (ooh err) but never underestimate the beauty of a grab hole. See it a lot in caravan builds and boaty builds too and super simple to just drill a decent size hole or oblong out. Plus doesn't add extra height or become a thing to bash yourself on 🤣 Just an idea for ya anyway. Keep on keeping on!
@lifeadventureprojects
@lifeadventureprojects Жыл бұрын
This is a great list of advice. And yeah to be honest, I created a lid because someone else did - you are right, kinda pointless! Lol As someone else said, over engineered it. Thanks for the ideas, will be out to use! 🙌

It might be camera angle but if you have the loo dry fit before you fix wall. Looks abit too tight might need a little bit extra out consider the wall too. Could use a spare cardboard box for a wall to test. But it might be camera. Van is looking good though. Diesel heater? Also when you have basics take it out for a test run spend a night out take a notebook and record what you need / missing. Looking forward to the next installment
@lifeadventureprojects
@lifeadventureprojects Жыл бұрын
Cheers Danny. Yes we definitely need to do this as it’s looking pretty tight and I’m worried it won’t fit, think that might be this weekend’s job. And yeah good idea we will definitely do that, even if just to also check for any rattles etc. We will be getting a truma heater and water heater we think which will be going under the front bench, just haven’t got it yet!

Round the ceiling hatch/skylight thingy , how about rope all the way round ? Continues the rustic scheme and will cover that little gap 🤷‍♀️, maybe 1 cm thick rope , just an idea , maybe the rope would be more flexible than a wooden trim piece and fill the tiny gaps/v's between the roof cladding sttrips I found rope to be a handy flexible and nice looking gap filler that looks as if it's just decorative
