what a great update. I just bought a new fridge. Going from a 1.9 cf chest fridge to a 3.3cf upright. Have to wait for weather so I can take out the cabinet and make it fit. I love building and rebuilding my van.

@@SteveAudra Yes, but funny thing, I ordered it off Amazon and it came without a freezer ( I swear it had a freezer when I ordered it- it was what I was specifically looking for). I used your link to Rec Pro and it didn't have a freezer either. I contacted Rec Pro thinking the freezer was an insert and for some reason mine didn't come with it. Nope. I searched Rec Pro's website and no freezer with the 3.3cf. I'm blaming myself for ordering the wrong model but still can't see where the freezer model is available in the 3.3cf. On a good note I ordered the cigarette plug power chord and it was such an easy install. Steve's discovery of proper size chord was extremely helpful when I ordered the right plug. I have a theory that Rec Pro had an issue with people complaining the freezers frosting up and discontinued the model. They didn't say so when i contacted but I can't find the model you have even with your link to Rec Pro. I love the new fridge, it's good quality, I ran it in my kitchen on my Flex1500 power station and it only cost 7% of my power or about 60wh of power - not the best test but it's a starting point. It's actually used less power than my Dometic CFX28. Thanks for the recommendation. If you can link the freezer version, I may just return this one but no worries if you can't find it.

@@michele2017promastertravel They must have done away with the freezer realizing it didn't keep everything completely frozen! We had no idea.

Good video we are going to copy a few of these ideas. I checked my e-brake electric cable and it appears they have changed the cable and have it protected.

Did they just protect the cable or did they add a more robust "skid plate" to protect the entire mechanism?

@ just put a hard plastic over the molded connector and white loom over the rest of the wire. I may try to fab a metal plate to protect it.
