Pop's Sunset Grill WROTE THIS: Not all heroes wear capes! We are so proud of our bartender, Dominic, who didn’t hesitate to jump into action when a vehicle drove into the ICW last night. Dominic was bartending at the Pop’s Tiki Bar, ran to his car and drove to the scene. He jumped into the water with a police baton and managed to break the window to save the driver. It's not often that we get to see such selflessness in action, and it's a reminder that heroism can come from anyone, anywhere. We should all take a moment to appreciate those who put themselves in harm's way to help others. It takes a special kind of person to act on their instincts like that, and we should be grateful for each and every one of them

Bravo! Heroic efforts on the part of all (3) of the rescuers (2 male civilians & 1 female water patrol) who acted quickly and worked together in the nick of time to bust the window, pull the man out by his shirt and bring him to the shore. Amazing collaboration under pressure. God bless each of you, as well as the man whose life was saved.

Driver was pulled out as the vehicle submerged. He will be ok but shook up as expected.
