@@colinoneill-hz9cb Hi Colin :) There’s only the main delay that runs throughout to get the echoes. 1 loud repeat at about 400 ms. Ed is just hitting his left hand on the strings to sound the chord and using his volume knob to swell the sound in. Does that make sense? Best, Simon 🤟

Pretty astounding work there, well done. Showtime movie channel played this concert (I think before it was released on VHS) and I saw it at a friend’s house, my first real introduction to EVH. This solo literally changed my life forever. I was watching your video and at first thought “what’s this loser doing, miming along to Ed??? Then I realized the audio was you!!!

Eddie held the pick during regular playing in the thumb and second finger, not the index. That's why he tapped with the index. Once again Simon shows incredible talent, he's just incredible. Does anyone know how many springs is in that Floyd on ”live with out a net” got a baretta with 9s on it and three springs. Could I do 2 springs. Ed’s Floyd seems so much easier and softer to use?

Hi William.. I've seen pictures where it looks like Ed only had two springs in the guitar, and slightly angled (not parallel). I have 3 springs in my guitar, and you're right, it makes the Floyd pretty tough to wangle actually, but who knows, maybe Ed's was also? He had pretty strong hands from what I've heard. I'd try two, and go from there. Best, Simon 🤟

Most of it is available tabbed in the right here right now live tab book. It’s played in a bit of a different order though. It’s a crazy ass tab though. It’s easier just to watch what his hands, what he’s doing, and work it out. If you’ve got the chops to play this, than everything you need is right here. The tab isn’t gonna make it much easier.
