If you are car living and going to gym/library/McDonald's etc a lot, I recommend smaller than 500wh. You will want to carry it in and out of places to charge.

Tons of influencers still recommend Jackery products because they are getting paid affiliate commissions to promote their products. I applaud you Bob for being straight forward in your reviews and being honest about Jackery products compared to Bluetti which have been seen as second-hand when in reality are better quality and better priced than competitors.

I've been running my entire life's power needs off of Bluetti for many years now! I love Bluetti!!! Started with their suitcase EB240 (still a workhorse) and am now running my Cabin solely off the AC300 with a stack of 4 B300 batteries. I shove about 2400w of solar into them. While on the road during the winter I use the AC200p Max coupled with a B300 battery to run my Airstream trailer and all my appliances. Those two units combined has over 5000wh of storage and 2000w of power a perfect match for my trailers power needs. I use one 375w Panasonic solar panel that's mounted on the back of my truck to recharge the units as well as a backup AC300 + B300 that I keep in the back seat of the truck in case of emergency. The Bluetti lineup has been a complete lifestyle change for me and some much needed peace of mind. Not only that but Bluetti's customer service has always been top notch. Oh, add in Starlink and it doesn't get much better than that, although I'm sure they are both figuring out ways to make it better??? LOL Thanks Bob for all of your videos! Hope to see you on the road sometime in the future! 👋😎👍 Oh, and I gave away my Jackery products...

We’ll my Bluetti died two months out of warranty and little secret here…they don’t offer any repair options. Now my $1,200 power supply is worthless. All these power supplies are the same. No service options after warranty. They just keep making them more powerful and more expensive and no thought to service. Who in their right mind would spend thousands on a unit that could be worthless in two years if have a failure. It took me a month emailing back and forth to China to find out I’m screwed.

So glad you posted this, Bob! I have the EB3A and it's great for charging my phone quickly. I don't use it for much more. I was, however, struggling with what to use in my travel van! Because I want the power bank to run not only a refrigerator/freezer, but a space heater (in cool weather), and an AC unit like you show in this video (in warm weather), I just couldn't make up my mind. Sweet spot with the AC200p or (for me because of power wants haha) the AC200p MAX - perfect timing! Going to save up my nickle and dimes for this, and you have, as always, brought the good stuff to us!! Thank you again!!

Another downside to the Jackery is they require proprietary cable connections from Jackery. You cannot connect non Jackery solar panels to a Jacky solar generator. Jackery solar connections are not waterproof.

Great roundup! My EB3A is great for its high solar input, but its AC inverter seems to run at a higher wattage than my other solar generators, and it drops off completely when the storage gets under 20%. And it's really heavy compared to my generators with more storage. But if you can get it for a great price, I would recommend it.

Nice roundup Bob. Wouldn't it be more correct to call these things big batteries with a bunch of fancy outlets and not generators? As far as I can tell they don't "generate" any power...they only store power you put in them. Hope that makes sense :) Love your videos!

It stores the power you put in them and then "generates" it back out into whatever you plug into it. The definition of generate is "to cause something to come about". By using the stored energy, it causes something to come about. Energy is "generated" into it and it "generates" that power back out to cause products to run. The power coming into it from a plug or a solar panel is not directly running into appliances etc. It's the stored power in the Bluetti etc that makes whatever you plug into it work. Also, manufacturers call them generators - so, how is Bob going to change that?

I think the lithium ion chemistry is good for people that go camping and want something light weight but don’t use it as a primary power source. I like my Ecoflow River with an ability to charge quickly. I bought a couple Bluetti units for grown kids to give them some emergency power. Looking at the Anker mid-size with LifePO chemistry but also purchased a dual fuel unit that I can run the furnace or air conditioning on at home. I can see where these units would work well for a camper or van. Nice video and generally agree with your synopsis. My understanding was that the batteries would continue to hold a charge after 500 cycles or 3000 cycles.... but the storage capacity would degrade and hold less. I’m curious to know how many years one can get out of lithium ion with diminished capacity..... have not heard much on that.

I started getting interested in solar a few years ago, before my husband passed. He was not interested in solar technology, but once he died, my interest in solar peaked. I didn't know about your channel yet and took advice from another UTuber and invested i several Jackerye: the 240,800,1000, 1500 and several panels. All but the smallest is still working flawlessly! I'm now going to invest in a decent Bluetti as the raves for the brand from all kinds of critics are in that company's favor.

I will be buying a 2000 Wh solar generator in the next 2-3 months so I have been watching alot of KZbin videos. I also read the reviews on Amazon. While technically the Bluetti may be superior , I have decided I will not buy any Bluetti products based on the terrible reviews of their customer service and non-responsiveness. I just can not afford to take a $ 3,000 dollar chance on a solar generator. So I will be buying the Jackery 2000. I hope these comments find their way from your videos to the Bluetti company.

I just got my Bluetti EB70s today (4/24/23). It’s big, it’s sturdy and it’s heavy. I’m thinking it’s meant to be placed somewhere stationary. I haven’t used it yet except I put my husband’s phone on the wireless charger. It did charge but his phone was at 97% so not a good test. It’s more than I need for my intentions but I’m also thinking about power outages, emergency preparedness. You do hear the fans but I don’t mind them. I’m happy to know the system is designed to help with the heat. I ordered a Bluetti case for it from Amazon. It’s a nice case. I’m looking forward to putting this to work.

0:17 Good Day! I’m a new subscriber. I have a Pro Master 1500 that is wired. I have a few outlets, and have ran an extension cord to my home for power. Please tell me what I can use to power it for electricity when I hit the road. I am currently getting it ready to live in full time. Thanks for all these videos. They are so inspiring!!

Thank you for putting out this video! I am planning on starting nomad life in August and I was looking at a Jackery with solar panel for my power source but after watching you talking about bluetti I have done more research and the bluetti is now my choice. Thank you again!!

I'm curious about people's experiences with Bluetti customer service. I've heard, not so, good things about it. Aside from that, I've decided to stay away from Jackery for my 1000 wh battery pack. Thinking of getting a small fridge for weekend / 5 day long road trips.

I love my Bluetti EB70 and I just went ahead and got the EB3A, I hope to be able to afford their solar panel in February.

Glad I saw this because for the last year or so, Ive found myself falling more and more for all the Jackery hype out there.

You are right about the competition being outdated. I am building an off road trailer to full time in and wants to be totally off grid. The AC200Max with 800 watt solar is going into my trailer. I also bought an EB3A and small folding panel on sale as a backup.

I agree. Im a jackery fan but they got to up thier game. I like the blue tooth options and able to update. I still have jackery stuff but as they get done thier cycles. They are gone. The solar panels are so so. The minus with this are to flimsy and small wind knocks them over. I just put on solid 100 watt panel on van. I like it. Now on side note. I noticed with solar panel and rhino rack with two gun boxes for storage. You have created a awning with gap over your van. It keeps the sun from beating direct on van and keeps much cooler. Little tip for you all

While i agree that the Bluetti is a substantial product there are 3 points to consider about Jackery. 1) With a little ingenuity you could use your own solar panels. 2) The lithium ion chemistry weighs significantly less than lithium iron which might be more convenient for your purpose. 3) They have absolutely stellar customer support. Their support team replies very quickly and is extremely polite. I recently had a problem and after a short diagnostic period they popped a replacement machine in the mail.

Any solar panel can be used with any solar generator...unless you're talking ultralight for aircraft, weight is not a factor...the customer support is the only thing lacking with Bluetti and that is improving daily after some reported issues. And besides, Jackery is an antique !
