Chrome, you're one of those rare free spirits that if any of us got a chance to meet, I hope we realize how fortunate we are. I grew up in the 1950s and 1960s and I haven't seen anybody like you since Jimi Hendrix was in his prime. You and people like you are rare and I hope those that love you will always be there for you.

Oh Chrome, it sound like you are starting to put down some roots when you stated how much you have fallen in love with Vancouver Island. Choosing it for the site of the shop, the site of your winter home base and then your falling in love with Emi. Even nomad drifters can plant roots at time! Love watching the phase you are in. It realy becomes you!

Dude! I hate to say this, but I was getting used to the Adventures of Emi and Chrome!! I feel like she should be there with you laughing about all the shenanigans you manage to come across! I am following her visit home, of course she needs that, we all need a little "alone" time", but doesn't mean we don't miss the two of you together. Having been in the military for many years, I know what being apart from my partners for a 6 - 8 months at a time is. The homecomings are oh so sweet!!

To back down a steep hill in rear wheel drive, pull the parking brake release and hold and use your parking brake pedal to brake. That way all the weight is on the back wheels that are braking and the front wheels will steer without sliding.

Could I inquire as to your emergency plan for unforseen circumstances? Like a medical emergency for example. I know it's a lackluster subject until you actually need help. However, it's my belief that you must be prepared for the worst of times to truly enjoy the best of times. It's a subject I rarely here about if ever, but covering it may save a life.

If you have followed Chrome for a long time, you will recall he has a satellite gadget that if something happens outback, he can activate it and send out a distress call or alert a friend and it will send his exact location. Emi just got one recently too, I think. Great piece of equipment. I don't know what his plan is as far as a medical emergency if he could not get to that gadget. That's a good question. Like he said, it's always good to think these things through before hand, just in case.
