Just a hint if you're travelling dirt roads in the motorhome. The bike cover will trap all the dust coming up from the vehicle and distribute it to every little nook and cranny on your bike. You might want to place bags over your handlebar ends and switch blocks and remove the cover if in dusty conditions. Hope you have a trouble free tour.

If you can get some heavy walled 50mm square tube you could cut and raise your bike rack by 50mm . Cut the extended tow bar mount , weld , overlap and strengthen with some 50 or 100 x 5mm flat ???

Yeah would be good to raise it a little but to be honest, 2500km and no dramas. It scraped going into one servo driveway and a couple times on the dirt on rough ground but otherwise been solid as a rock, even without that fkn stabiliser 💪 I might look at doing something with it at some point tho, cheers man

Lots of 12v fridges ice up the internal freezer fast, our bushman’s does the same. 12v fridges don’t tend to have a defrost cycle to stop them freezing up as the defrost absolutely chews the power. That and they’re often not sealed very well from the fridge area the two different temps meet and instant ice. My bike rarely gets cleaned now we’re on the road, it’s just too awkward haha. Just have to watch when you cross the SA borders, they get a bit cranky if your stuffs covered in mud, they take their biosecurity pretty serious. +1 for get a trailer… that racks gonna end in tears.

Thanks for the info on the fridge, I've seen a lot of people put fans in them but apparently that's not to help with the frost anyway just evening out the temps 🤔 The rack has been solid for the last 2500kms, except for scraping on a couple of servo driveways 🤷‍♂💪

@@MVDBR I’ve seen RVs with overhand that attach a roller or a set of wheels. These act as a landing gear in the event of contact and prevent drag damage.
