I'd recommend getting a Chromecast with Google TV and just connect it with WiFi if it's available or connect it with a mobile hotspot

Thanks for the info! I just bought a TV for my Sprinter and was wondering how I was going to get programming. I had a Blu-Ray player in my last RV, but I guess those days are history. 😆

You’re going to need an inverter to power a TV. You could get a small portable system like Goal Zero or Jackery.

why not just personal hotspot your iphone to the TV. (connect to the Wi fi signal coming from the phone on your tv) which is really the 4G/LTE routed as a wi fi signal.

I use the Apple brand Lightning to HDMI dongle. I found that non-Apple dongles often don't work. Also, I think it may depend on phone settings. It works on my iphone, but not on my wife's.

I suppose a smart TV is needed. My TV is an older Samsung lcd 55” and everything comes through the blue ray player, essentially Netflix.

No, there is a cord you can order offline to connect your phone to your tv to your phone. It's called a USB to HDMI cord. Makes sure you buy the one that fits your phone. Like make sure you get mico or C size to fit your phone. I think Iphones have a different type plug end as well. Ebay usually have them for $15 or less.

Followed that link on your site, went right to Amazon and ordered that Apple / HDMI adaptor, turned on my RV TV (battery power only: no shore power), connected everything as per video, put something on iPhone, and ABSOLUTELY. NOTHING. HAPPENED. Did I just blow almost $50 for nothing??? I followed the instructions TO THE LETTER!! What are you not sharing? Do I need Apple TV? Roku? Fire stick? Uncle Al holding a set of rabbit ears just right (whose ends have been covered with foil? The rabbit ears, I mean: not Uncle Al’s)WHAT??? Little stuff like this, where I buy something to remedy an issue on the RV and it STILL doesn’t work is nickel and diming me to DEATH, and I haven’t even driven the damn thing out of the DRIVEWAY yet!! Creator of this video, WHAT am I missing??? 😩😩😩😩😩

Sorry it didn’t work for you. You should be able to return it if it didn’t work. Have you tried it on a different phone? Mine worked, but my wife’s didn’t.
