I told you they were cracking down on the Vanlifing in residential areas of California. Sometimes law enforcement are the protagonists and sometimes it's the residents of the area. I choose not to deal with it at all by staying on public lands as deep into the wilderness as I can make it with my rig (Tundra towing a 7x14 converted cargo trailer). Mind you I have starlink so I can remain connected in the boonies, and I have a retirement income so I don't have to work. But there are locations with connection you can stay in without the aggravation that goes with being in society. As I stated in one of my videos addressing this subject. Be a nomad and live on the fringes or get a job and live within. You can't do both and though you may not be the cause or catalyst for the issues that present themselves from "stealth camping" someone else will which ultimately draws attention to us all causing society to place an unfair label on us all.
@simmpleenough4 ай бұрын
I’ll look for the video you made about this topic. I have Starlink, I just never want to turn it on anymore 😂. I look forward to being able to *comfortably* afford keeping it turned on every month. Until then, I’m just doing what I can do. Thanks for the advice 😊.

I was in Eureka, CA in February. I stayed in an IOverlander spot called Wharfinger Marina, N 40.80190, W 124.17977. I stayed a little over a week and no one bother me. I left a review it’s says 9 days if you want to check it out lol. Omg at Eureka Natural Foods I found a vegan tuna onigiri, right at the entrance where the cold prepare foods are. It was the best thing and I’ve been looking for it everywhere, to no avail. I’m going back just for it 😂

I was watching your video from eureka California. And my advice to you is to look inside yourself you have all you need at your age and what you're doing you don't need all those other external websites to get through these times in society when you are judge by the color of your skin but you can't let that influence you or take anything away from you. If I knew what I know now at your age I would know my worth and not let anything else cloud my judgment. You are on your path and no matter what no one thanks of you or you think that things are inhibiting you. Do not let that enter your mind you are a strong sister and I admire everything about you so don't let the small stuff take you in any other direction then your first positive mindset. If you feel people are around your van just think of it as they're admiring you as long as they don't try to enter into your private space. You are so brave and the journey you're on it's yours, never let outside people influence you unless it's something positive if it's too many people, if they're looking at your van, if the police come because someone called them don't let that change your mindset they are all envy of you so keep up the good work😊

Yay, I love those jumper packs. Just FYI, NEVER put the black grounding cable on the negative side of your battery, make sure to clip it on a nearby grounding screw or metal part of the car frame. I'm sure you did it right, but for anyone who doesn't know..... It can really hurt electronics and kind of backflush the power incorrectly. Good to see you again, I hope you can get out of your head and back to your routine! I'm trying the same.

I was taught to never sleep in the same spot two nights in a row and to always have at least 5 spots that I rotate between. That decreases the chance of people learning my routine or even noticing me. It also stops me from blowing up my spot, which is what happens when other vehicle dwellers see you and start staying there too. Having rotating spots also guarantees you have somewhere else to stay if you ever need to stop using a spot. Also I was taught to never hang out at my overnight spot. I get there late, usually at or after 10, and I leave early, usually no later than 6. If I’m still sleepy, I just go to Walmart or a coffee shop, and go back to sleep.

I am basically looking for jobs outside of where I live so I can actually explore each place I go in depth, I want to do that, I don't want to rush. I'm going to start van life once it's cooler here in Phoenix and start actually vlogging it...finally, I hope. Phoenix does NOT cool off enoough but I do have a portable A/C now, so I am going ot see if I can use my battery w/it, if it doesn't drain it too bad I can use it when I leave my cat in the vehicle if I have to go inside for longer than like 10mins and at night if needed...I'm excited to start probably in october!

Take pictues of all your items and write down WHERE they are in your van. Make a folder called DO NOT TRASH!!

You know, I recorded a video of how I place everything in my “garage” area, but now I can’t find the video 😂. Should’ve put it in a folder 🤷🏾♀️. I’ll do that next time. Thanks!

Can you link the video in which you talk about "chasing home"? Thank you
@simmpleenough4 ай бұрын
I realized I never put it in my video. I recorded myself talking about it for another video, but didn’t include it in the vlog because it would’ve made the video an hour long. Basically, I’m a military brat who has never had a home base. I’m from everywhere, but also not from anywhere. I don’t have a home state. I don’t have a home I grew up in. People ask me where I’m from and it’s hard to answer (I was born and raised in Germany the first 6 years of my life, but am I from Germany 🤷🏾♀️). I’ve been a nomad my entire life and nowhere feels like home, yet. This makes me feel out of place in this world, sometimes. So, during my travels, I’m hoping to find a place I like enough to call home. I’ll discuss it a little more in a future Q&A video.

@@simmpleenough I appreciate you taking the time to write back, looking forward to your Q&A video about it. This is something I've thought about a lot and I feel like you touched on something that resonates with many people, especially children of immigrants. My parents weren't in the military, but we moved around a lot and I never felt like I had a home; just houses we lived in for a while. You can even hear it in our language-- e.g. "Are you gonna be at the house later?" I traveled a lot as I got older and mostly felt welcome all over the place, but not even my parent's country or the state I grew up in feels like home. It sounds strange, but my RV is the closest feeling of home to me. I love the road, but Insha'Allah we will both find that long term parking spot we're looking for.

Thank you, so much! I am definitely not the right person to answer your question! I’ve seen a few KZbinrs purchase a Used GMC Cargo van for around 5K, but they end up having a lot of engine issues, since the van is a little old & worn down. Whatever you get, hopefully you can have a professional *you trust* check the vehicle for issues before buying it, so you’re not sold a lemon. Good luck!

Have you heard of Loma Linda, CA? Looks like you're about 1/2hrs away. This is the place that's considered a "Blue Zone" where people live longer due to eating healthy - as Vegans! 🤗

Those are actually the seventh day Adventist who eat as healthy as they can because our bodies are the Temple of God. So diet is a lifestyle. The scripture says my people die of lack of knowledge.

i live in eureka in a van, my family is here and im broke so i cant really leave town confidently. i dont ever feel safe parking anywhere near downtown at night, i hide out in the northern residential neighborhood areas far far away from downtown, downtown is a cesspool for tweakers and it doesnt help that san francisco keeps sending their homeless out here. if you drive down the road from costco youll see an entire community of people living in old bum looking rv's. most of those people are up to no good, theres an rv across the street from costco that is known for being thieves. if youre heading to crescent city they dont let you park at the walmart anymore just a heads up. if you head over to arcata dont stay by rays grocery store either its another tweaker hot spot. stealth camping is the best way to get by out here.

I’ve seen the community you speak of near Costco and I know the exact RV you’re talking about. I knew they were trouble when I got there, so I stayed alert. I’ve been staying in residential neighborhoods most of the time and it feels much safer.
