It is a great design with a few misses, fix these and it is a home run: • Remove the generator and provide a bigger battery 600 Amh minimum. • Double folding bed, change it to a single piece flip up (this may even be a design flaw). • Have the option to remove the dog drawer and provide for a taller/bigger fridge. you make the above changes, you almost get a Roadtrek Pivot :)

The one major dislike I have with the ProMaster chassis is the Utilities ports, all exposed or visible so 1st glance everyone knows its a camper van. I like how this has utilities behind the panel and its almost seamless.

The "jump" seat and table would make a nice workstation if there was a large 4K monitor that could be pulled up like a blind, just behind the driver's seat. And personally, I'd skip the pop-up camper and replace it with solar panels, cell-phone boost and WiFi internet access.

Great thought on using Seasucker on the roofline. I use them w/a medium sized utility box on the back of the van. The suction cups are great.

Now that’s a great use of limited space. Also the JBL is awesome instead of buying a home sound system I got my wife one that has the crazy light show. She loves it and they are reasonably priced. Oh and as far as bushing your teeth maybe it’s the old Army in me but bathing and brushing my teeth at the same time is just a better use of time. Also you can tell the forethought with RF switches. Easier to replace or repair instead of ripping apart a wall because a switch doesn’t work. Great video and find.

Thank you for this great demo. I am so impressed with the details. I frankly think that the Promaster offers the most versatility in making a livable van. I like that there is no propane . The bathroom is also impressive. I love my Pleasureway, but too much real estate is given to the bathroom. I also love the manual awning, there are too many issues with electric awnings. If it were mine, I would change out the mattress to make a permanent fixed bed, but that is obviously a personal choice. Finally I love the mix of finishes. My only critique, is that the windows don’t have awning style openings so that you can keep them open when it’s raining. Overall I’m pleasantly surprised. 👍

Amazing Equipped Rig, well thought out. Reducing complexity reduces service issues down the road. Perhaps if Airstream could source more items within their manufacturing facilities, price points could be reduced, perhaps passed on to the consumer to make point of entry easier for those less flush w/cash customer prospects?

Airstream is just a wonderful brand. A $150k price point for a Winnebago dog leash and chassis might be considered ballsy. Especially in the changing rv market. Thanks for sharing 👍

I love everything about this, with one exception. The slats on the Murphy bed when it is folded up would drive me crazy. It would be nice if it could fold in a way a solid piece of laminate or something could be placed to cover it. It would give it a much more finished feel

Yeah, they gotta come up on the lithium for sure. The industry as a whole needs to come on the lithium offering out the gate so that you don't have to add on afterwards.

I always enjoy when the tech controls are not only better for quality of life but functional. Lights near the drains a no brained. Using the app to control lights and AC a must. I thought the chip shortage was over.

I have an 2006 Interstate with the aluminum ceiling-it is wonderful! I wouldn't want anything else for a ceiling! No odors!

Thanks Hank for another great one! Now I know my dealer doesn’t know what he’s talking about when he told me January delivery for the ‘23 (facelifted!)chassis with a pop top. The guy from Airstream said production doesn’t start until March, so I’ll be lucky to get one by May probably.

How much does the Pop Top weigh? I know after building out the Promaster, depending on how much your materials weigh, your CCC could be tight.

That is a FIAT DUCATO rebadged as a RAM promaster for the American market. Fiat owns Chrysler & since Fiats diesel drivetrain doesn't pass US emissions it gets one from Chrysler a Pentastar 3.6L 280hp V6 with Chrysler 9spd automatic. The Ducato chassis is the #1 RV chassi used worldwide, especially in Europe & UK. And is way cheaper than the Ford or Mercedes. Largest bath I've seen in a B or B+ ❤ that as a larger person. Give some floorplan options like the rear twin beds or rear living with bench seat and side seats etc. I think you got a winner.

Great review of the Rangeline. I'm a little disappointed the Airstream Rep. Didn't want to demonstrate how the bed works or mention the bed dimensions. I'm 6' and the bed is one of the most important aspects.

The bed is a design flaw it is too finicky and will prob get destroyed easily with daily use. Just have it straight folding up and down to lessen user error. Def good value though compared to other ram builds by other companies. Just having no propane and built in sumo springs is huge already.

Please do not put dog (or cat) leash tie points on the vehicle. All you need is to listen to one veterinarian describe what happens when a person accidentally forgets that they have tied their pet to the vehicle and left in a hurry with the pet still tied to the vehicle and you will remove that tie point. Horrifying results. Otherwise, nice van, the raised bed is a great feature.

Only problem with these RV's is you need to upgrade your tires and spring/brakes I believe.

Unless you're going off road... you don't need to upgrade your tires. Most builders now give you upgraded springs and tires rated for the RV.

Many problems with this van that you may not be aware of. Inverter is not connected to kitchen outlets so you are forced to start generator to use cook top or to even boil water! The connection between alternator and coach battery is very poor and failed on many of these vans. Lots of other issues that may be part of a new model by Airstream.

For the prices they are asking for these things I'd want my toilet seat area double or triple the size and not in the shower. The sales man's head was taller than than shower. And some people think this is great use of limited space? Take out all the other stuff and just get me a long bed, most importantly a huge size toilet sitting area, a microwave, prep table. This was a nice size eating booth in this one though I'll give them that. Forget the rest of the stuff. All the gadgets end up making for more costs & parts later on to try to get & try fixing all the problems like "chip shortages". SMH. GO BACK TO THE BASICS all you vehicle makers. I'll pass.

Style is spot on in this Rangeline. But substance is missing. Cabinets doors and walls are very thick. It actually shrinks the size of the cabinets by a lot. The hinges also look difficult to move. 🤔 and the pet dish thing? Really? Removing all propane sources is great. That’s the best choice in this unit. Overall, a good start for Airstream, but it really lacks good execution.

Really poorly built. I saw one at the 2022 Hersey RV show, very disappointing quality with loose trim work and just an overall bad finish. That swing out table is a death trap (for fingers). A bunch of children could build something better! Quality aside, would be better on a Transit AWD rather than a Promaster.

No idea if they were pre-production, but if so that would not effect quality, just features and small details. Airscream (not a typo) just lost the plot. That guy can’t even keep up with VanLife language, Hank Strange has to dumb his questions down!
