Thanks everyone for all the amazing comments and all the love! ❤ We are moving on to bigger and better things on our Morocco trip so hopefully it won't be long before we have put this all behind us. Still some cleaning to do as Betty is a bit of a dirty girl! 😉 Much love to you all 🥰

Glad your all safe, We had a caravan fire in Spain, Faulty grill in the oven. Not nice as you are well aware, However it can be replaced unlike loss of Life. Enjoy your adventures more to see and do, Your memories after the event will take the bad away.🌈☀😇

Hi thanks so much for your comment. Sorry to hear you had a fire as well, it's something everyone thinks won't happen but as we found out can (excuse the pun) at the flick of a switch. I'm sure it won't be long before we have forgotten all about it! 🫶

You are a wonderful family, but sadly don’t have much good luck 😢we’re really sorry to hear about the fire. Why don’t you set up buy me a coffee like other people do? I know a cup of coffee won’t help loads but people can buy you a coffee if they would like to. Even if you don’t buy coffees it’s a little towards some repairs. I’m so glad nobody was hurt. I’m quite paranoid about fires since a small camping cooker gas canister exploded on my husband and actually set him and the living room on fire. Even though he was literally on flames he still put the fire out this was 42 years ago but I’m still paranoid. Please look at setting up a page where folk can help you guys if they wish to. Stay safe take care xx

Hi Elaine thanks for your comment. Wow, something like that will make you paranoid. Amazing that he managed to contain the fire after what happened. We certainly have a new found respect towards fire prevention as well as being more cautious (than we already are!) We hadn't really thought about something like buymeacoffee but it's something we will definitely look into. Betty is proving to be an expensive girl at times! We appreciate the sentiment though. 🫶

We would like to wish you all the very best, happy and safe travels. If we was younger we would have been doing the same as you with our children! Please announce if/when you set up but me a coffee, on our next pay day we would like to participate in buying you a coffee, We can’t afford loads but every little helps. 1 coffee may not do much but many coffees would add up chick. Ps most of us always have a mobile phone when we’re out. Take photos of all your documents, passports etc like you said you would have lost so much. Theft is another one you would be in a mess. God forbidden anything like that happens, but always best to be prepared!!

Glad you’re all ok!! First the gearbox, now this, I do hope you can eradicate any odours from the fire and I’m definitely hoping the rest of your trip goes a lot more smoothly🤞👍👍

Thanks Adrian, not the run of luck we were hoping for. The smells are starting to go (just about). The smoke colouring on the plastic is a whole other ball game! Elbow grease and bleach needed.

I only like that to help the algorithm. I'm so glad all were safe, and you caught the fire early. Hopefully, it won't affect the trip too much. The main thing is nobody got injured, and hopefully, you can get the van sorted.

Thanks Raymond. I know it's a bit of a weird one asking for likes! 🤣 Fortunately the cooker has survived the worst and we can keep going. Bit of work to do when we get back to the UK. But at least we can keep on adventuring! 🫶

Thanks Lynn, she was definitely the hero that day! We haven't let it spoil the trip, so much still to see and do, so we have to just keep calm and carry on! ☺️

The main important thing you are all ok, Betty can be repaired at a later date, things could have been a lot worse, stay strong all you, move on to the your next trip, chin up guys.
