I love the movie and thoroughly enjoyed watching it with my daughters their first time years ago. I now have two granddaughters who are just a little too young to get the full first time experience. I have lived in Queensland all my life, all but two years in the greater Brisbane area. I never knew about the film's connection to Maryborough. Now in my 70s, I must make a drive up there. :) I was smiling broadly through all that Maryborough part.

My very first colour film I can remember, the wonderful Mary Poppins, seeing on the night before leaving the UK for Cyprus, my new home for four years….that was in 1966, I was age 4….what a magical film and my first flight on an old Bristol Britannia aeroplane……such vivid memories….love this special video, guys you had so much fun, thanks for sharing x

if it makes you feel less home sick - the rest of the loop home to perth - is easily the best part of Australia. a lot of driving 600km stopping at a spot, driving 400km stopping at a spot, but you've got the good stuff coming up...

I used to eat lettuce and sugar too its not a bad taste. Homemade ginger beer tastes the best. If you try coconut juice get a green coconut its kinda fizzy...so yum!

Nothing like pineapple straight off the farm in Queensland. As for paw paw..................I hate it. To me it tastes like the smell of a public toilet!

Genuinely considering driving back to Yeppoon everyday just for another pineapple 🤤🍍 Nooo, that sounds terrible!!! 🤣 Everyone describes the taste so differently. It’s hard to tell what it’s supposed to taste like.
