The Costa Del Sol in Spain has been my home for the last 22 years. I have come to love Spain very much. However, I do not understand why so few Brits (and Irish) explore the rest of Spain away from the Mediteranian coast. Cuenca is amazing. There is a museum to the Spanish inquisition there. Educational about one of the dark parts of history. There are so many amazing cities and mountains and the northern coast. You did the right thing by heading north. Hopefully, next time you will be able to spend more time here to explore other parts of this beautiful country. Los Picos de Europa is just one area that is worth lingering over. I'm looking forward to catching up on some of your other travels (thanks to being introduced to you by Kinging It).

You guys are so great. I know you already know this but please be very careful if you park your van and leave it - especially in touristy areas in Spain. For some reason, Spain is notorious for theft. Please, please be mindful of your belongings. I lived in Spain so I am telling you from experience. The thieves scope you out and wait till you leave your van. It's not a slight against Spain, it is reality. Can't wait to see more of your travels. Love the VO (Voice-Over).

Hi Ari! Thank you for your message... it means a lot to know that we have a community that looks out for us. It sad that we have heard this a lot about van break-ins in Spain. We are now in France and luckily suffered from no theft whilst in Spain. We will however, continue to be as careful & sensible as possible on our travels around Europe!
