I hadn't thought about that aspect.... I am super excited to have them all matching again and looking like they belong...for a while i ran on 3 and i looked silly.. then removing them i felt like i looked like something was missing.. now dimples is living its best life again with new shoes...lol

I recall you mentioning early on in one of your channel videos on Facebook that you didn’t have any kind of knowledge about vehicles before starting this. You said that’s why you use the car that you had because you understood it enough to know when it needed things. It is such a pleasure to have seen you come full circle and blossom in the way that you have. You can tell that you put a lot of thought into things that you do and into learning each part of the process of being in your van. There is a very authentic side to everything that you do that is very apparent especially for those of us who have watched since the beginning.

Yes... when i started out I was completely not in the know about how to do most of the things I do now daily... it has been a process to say the least learning how to do all these things but also learning how to maintain things while traveling to different also unknown places.. but keeping going and learning has pushed me to become the best version of myself!!

Looks nice; add some Armor All to the tires and dash board the next time you wash the van. it will really bring it out and protect the surface from the sun.

Wow that really looks good and that changed the look of the van I believe dimples looks nice she look nice before but now she looks even nicer I bought some rims for my car and tires rims and tires and I bought five of them it was $1,100 I wished I would have realized that the hat have hubcaps would have been a lot better and cheaper oh well they're on now can't cry over spoiled milk they look good though God keep those videos coming

I thought i was going to have to replace my rim after the incident in Arkansas but turns out it was fine thank goodness.. otherwise i likely would have replaced all four to get a matching set that looked nice.... but that price point was what kept me from it.... i feel your pain on that one!!! I have some other fun projects coming out over the next couple of weeks that i am very excited about sharing!!

I have a E350 van and lost one hubcap also and my rims are black.. I was at the junkyard getting a driver's side window that was broken. Anyway I seen two hubcaps that were different than what I have but similar 😉 I bought them for 10 dollars and put them on the driver's side and I still have the other hubcaps that came with the van on the passenger side.. so you cant really tell they are different unless you are looking for it. 😳😆 I took the other hubcap off that was on the driver's side and just kept it just in case I loose one on the passenger side 😒🤓 kinda confusing but it works great ✌😎👍

I had contemplated just getting one cap to match and found that for the price of one new i could get 4 of these new.... i liked the black better so i chose to go this way... i rarely find parts currently for the nv200 in junkyards because they are on demand so much right now so made the judgement call and made life simple with that amazon return policy...lol

Having been on the road myself for a while I had fallen behind a bit on the videos and was playing catch up this morning. You have such a skill with how you share things. I must have gone down the rabbit hole of your videos for at least 2 hours without realizing what time it even was. You continue to add places to my list of where I should go and videos like these also are a valuable resource that found me at just the right time. I lost a hubcap last month and have been without one since. I had debated on taking them all off or replacing but this just solidified my choice to replace if it can be this easy. I was expecting it to be far more in depth.

Taking the hubcaps off was a necessary thing for a bit because i needed to make sure i found the right fit and also wanted to make sure i was at basecamp for the install so i could easily return them if they were not a fit. With the kind of rims that cargo vans have sometimes they are not compatible with hubcaps and i found many reviews mentioning that when it came to non-factory ones. So finding the perfect ones took time.

The coolest thing about nomad van / skoolie / car / rv life - the problem solving. Never built bed platforms before? No problem, jump in and learn how. Never did anything "electrical", no problem, jump in and learn how. Hub cap replacements, no problem, jump in and learn how. Talk about new brain wrinkles! The new hub caps look awesome.

I love the new rims. I think its important to keep the van looking spiffy and even a missing hubcab can make it look unkept. I always think of what Chrome from Vancity says about making sure your home (van) looks nice. Now he does more steath camping and I think it might be even more important for that than if you are out in the sticks. People are more willing to call the authorites on shady looking vans and RVs in their neighborhoods than a nicer tidy van. I notice the rundown RVs parked on the streets and start having visions of Breaking Bad when I see them…lol. I know its a generalization but when you are a homeowner you do take notice of stuff like that.

I can see that with some of the older rigs especially out there because there is a problem with those who buy a cheap rig and literally drive it til it falls apart all the while not being able to afford any repairs.... but also i tend to think about the impact of the "white van".... everyone has heard some horror story of a white van and so as a person who now owns a small white van i am always trying to advocate for people to understand that not all vans are the boogie man... in fact 99.9% are not and are just people traveling or working.

There are quite a few Mercedes Spinters and other vans with ladders so they are obviously being used for outdoor adventuring and probably quite a few vandwellers here too. Maybe I notice them because I want a van too. Here is some food for thought for you. Let us know if you notice where there os an abundance of vans in high adventuring states like Utah, Colorado etc if you notice stricter parking laws or more lacks laws in states where more people own vans. Hope to see you up in pacific northwest soon and maybe consider a meetup with your followers/fans.

Some hub wheels will improve the gas mileage by little bit, usually in the 2-3% range.
