Tip for the DEF Fluid - buy the Peak brand that comes in a box, keep one in the van, when it gets low and the DEF light comes on the dash, the whole jug will fit without overflowing 👍🏼
@MathersOnTheMap3 жыл бұрын
I am not a fan of letting that DEF Fluid light come on though, it happened once before, we filled it up right away and then we got the check engine light and limp mode count down (needed new nox sensors covered under warranty) but I don't have confidence in letting it get low!

Beautiful country out there and the Grand Tetons just seem to pop up out of the prairie & foothills. My brother spent a summer in the mountains as a geology student picking up rocks and watching out for snakes. He was amazed at the Grand Tetons and the Badlands of the Dakotas. Now does the DEP overflow cup drain back into the tank? I get your point, my snow blower does the same thing but with gasoline. its scary when a rock hits the windscreen at high speed. Thanks for the ride, I always enjoy your video.

So enjoying your Vblog. My wife and I are planning a trip this summer to Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. She is a teacher and I work from anywhere Verizon signal works, so we are just part time Vanlife. I see you stay in Harvest Host quite often. We will be getting a membership before the summer. I am very interested in places you stayed from Denver to Jackson. We will travel much slower than you as we are older and our van is a VW bus 1982 Diesel Westy. Any suggestions? I know from Denver once you pass Cheyenne its desolate. I think its Hwy 25 that goes from Denver to Cheyenne

Enjoyed the video. I see that you have your light bar on the bumper. I have been debating about putting a light bar on the bumper like yours or up on the roof. Do you like it there and feel like illuminates enough? Thanks and keep filming. Tim in Colorado
@MathersOnTheMap3 жыл бұрын
Hey Tim! The light bar was a late addition add, for me to put it on the roof would mean I’d have to drill another hole cut through insulation and shiplap (not worth it for me). Also I thought that my solar rack was too far back anyway. Check out Vermont video where we turn it off and on to show illumination

@@atticushexcel9567 Gabriyel, I found your comment/statement offensive. Here is why, in Australia I have not heard of such a thing, and there might be a product here that goes by another name that I am not aware of. Yes, I did 'google' it after I asked the question of 'Kevin' and before your offensive comment. That's why I genuinely asked the question. See, you assumed everyone knows what you know, and that's a big mistake, we are all different and asking questions is how you learn. I am going to assume that you don't know what etiquette is, so this is how you might use it with a stranger. You could have said: a) Dirk, DEF is a fluid used in North America to control certain emissions. Or b) I am surprised you have not heard of it, its a fluid to break down hazardous emissions. See how this sounds so much better than your statement/comment. Next time before you use your fingers to speak your mind, stop and think or was your intention all along to be offensive to a stranger. If the latter is the case, then you might have underlying issues you should take care of. This world would be a better place if people are more kind to each other. If you plan to reply back with another offensive comment, don't bother. I will not reply and waste time I will never get back. But I will leave you with this quote. "To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like administering medicine to the dead" - Thomas Paine.
