I was at this show with a lot of friends from Cantabria, Spain. I've seen Van 11 times on 2 continents and this was the best one of all. The opening act was Clark Terry. Van was happy to be there, improvising, playing with the songs and surprising everyone. The band was sublime and it was the Back On Top album. (Geraint Watkins on organ was amazing!)

Music, like most things in life, is a matter of taste, but certain things seem to be so good as to appeal to an extremely wide range. Yes, there are those who don't like chocolate or Beethoven, allergic to it or just not their cuppa, but it's hard for me to not to pity those people. That's how I feel about Van.

To clarify I love Van's music. I have been lucky enough to see him 3 times this concert is by far the best I have seen of him. I do not like the fact that he often does not play what a lot of people pay good money to hear. I have seen Rod Stewart, the Stones Aerosmith and Tina Turner everyone of these artists have played and sang some of their past hits which I think is the way it should be.

One of the best Van concerts ever for me. Love the set list but those musicians....every single one is truly fantastic and perfectly fits the stretching out theme of the songs in this show. So good!!!!(Sad to see the sharp decline in Van's backing musicians for many years now - at least days like this concert and others with PeeWee, Fred, Candy etc can be relived on KZbin)

I am enjoying this video, I like this more than any of his earlier work, I have not taken the time yet to listen to his later ones. I was afraid that this concert would be a fading of talent and picture of old age but was surprised to find that this concert is one his finest accomplishments and the "I'm not feeling it anymore" and "Precious Time" cuts are superior to anything he has done for my personal taste

Now in November of 2016 I've found that while this concert was fine he made even better shows as he got older, 2008 in London is maybe the zenith and his 2015 concerts are great but in 2016 his age is starting to take it's toll
