I grew up in this part of Los Angeles all my life for 28 years. I'll be moving out of here once this pandemic is over and once I finish college, but I'll live in another part of the San Fernando Valley which is the city of San Fernando to the north. The Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles has a lot of potential for public transportation expansion and urban development in this part of Los Angeles. It may be boring now, but this Los Angeles neighborhood has a TON of potential for urban development and public transit expansion. Van Nuys Blvd is going to get a light rail line by 2027, with construction beginning in 2022; and as well as two Metro G Line bridges over both Sepulveda Blvd and Van Nuys Blvd to be built by 2024. Construction on these bridges are supposed to begin later this year in 2021.

I moved into the “ valley “ in 52 as a one year old. I lived there until 2004. I recognized every street you were on. From horse ranches and orange groves and lots of open space. To uncontrolled urban spall. To a overdeveloped mess. Sad. But thanks for the trip. I enjoyed it.

Wonderful video with fantastic editing! Really enjoyed this trip through Van Nuys. Looks like a very busy city with a few quieter pockets here and there. And gas is $1 more per gallon out there than here! Eek! So happy to be part of the Drive With Me Family! Thank you for taking us on such great adventures.

I love vanuys moved 4 years ago I was told it was bad years ago maybe in the 90s early 2000s but today it's a nice Place to be no trouble at all van nuys is home today to me I'm fully inked up from toes to face and no static from no one cops or hoodlums respect 🤜🤛 but what I love most I'm near Studio city , Hollywood, 18 mins from the beach np but if u looking for trouble it will come I seen it come in peace leave in peace ....

Born and raised there. Watched the Valley decline for the past 35 years. No more air show. No more Pepe's Go Carts. No more July 4th fireworks shows at Devonshire Downs. No more cruisers night. No more Busch Gardens. All the interesting stuff is gone and is being replaced by shanty towns, drifts of garbage and low- lifes roaming the streets stealing stuff at every opportunity. Sad.

I'm across the street from Van Nuys high School!! Sick by the way it has become a better school than when I attended about 20 yrs ago!!! Their Medical Magnet program of amazing!! The kids have an a 3d technology that displays human body skeletal muscle veins etc!!! It's amazing the only school in the valley with that type of technology!!! Other schools opted to invest in lighting esthetic for that school they opted to give the medical students amazing technology to use n better understand what they are learning!!!

So many homeless! Tents everywhere. Not much to do in van nuys kinda feels like noone cares. When I wrote to city hall noone answered me and no one addressed any of the increasing safety concerns in Van Nuys/ Los Angeles in general. No police anywhere, you're on your own. It takes hours upon hours only to find out police can't get to you. I wish I could move out but I have no $$$. Oh well....
