Either length is fine. Thanks for posting!

I prefer to see a video per major component (within reason) regardless of length. It makes it easier to jump to whichever part a builder is working on using your video for reference. Like if I run into an issue on fuel tank construction maybe have one or two videos on just making fuel tanks. Maybe idk. Keep doing what you are doing tho. It’s part of what is driving me to start an RV14 kit. I’d also like to see a video on you’re camera/post production methods. I want to make videos for my build but don’t want to be overwhelmed with the kit and KZbin. I was also thinking about going the KZbin live or Twitch route for live progress. That might get distracting though.

Knowing the work you put in, the 30 minute videos are my preference. It allows you to cover more ground and get caught up to closer to present day.

I think the length is good with the occasional real time to show what the problems were and solutions.

Any length is fine for me. I’m just going back for fun to try and remember what I did while going through some of these steps. A couple additions to your video: When back riveting I place a thick piece of cardboard on either side of my back rivet plate that is approximately the same thickness as the plate so my skin doesn’t bow up like you were referring to. You were also talking about the placebo effect. I have found (especially with multiple stacked pieces of aluminum or 2 thick pieces) that placing a couple rivets in before clecoing will give perfect alignment vs clecoing first then trying to install the rivet.

Hi there. Love the videos and appreciate the time and effort spent on them. Did you happen to create the video addressing the elevator trim tab errors and lessons learned? I’m about to start them and bet the video would be extremely helpful. Thanks a million! PBRV10 (Bill)

Not sure if longer vids make it easier on you to produce or not. If so, make it easier on yourself. One thing to consider with video intros. When I discover a new aviation channel (building, training, etc.) I tend to binge watch the previous videos. If they have a lengthy intro, I mute it. Two major things I enjoy about your videos above *many* others? My ears do not have to compete with hearing your commentary over background music (soundtrack). And, you stick to airplane building. No off-topic rambling or rants. Plane Lady BUILDS!

Christine, I can see when you were counter sinking, you had two red Laser lines across the part. Where did you get the lasers or are they part of your drill press?

I am working on an RV-14A so this might not have been an issue for you, but there was a note in my plans that said, "CHECK PRINTED SCALE 1:1 PER SECTION 3 BEFORE USING THE TEMPLATES!". Mine were NOT 1:1 so I made enlarged copies of the templates to arrive at the 5 1/4" x 2" dimensions to match the foam blocks before cutting them out and gluing them to the foam blocks. Did you have this issue? I ask because I noticed you guys appeared to just take out the template portion from the page and cut them out without measuring. If I had done that with MY paper templates, the ribs would have been under sized.

Good question! I completely forgot to mention that! Yes, the same warning was on the bottom of our diagram on that last page and I had measured it prior to cutting it out to make sure it was correct. The dimensions were correct on ours (16”x10 9/16” between the lines framing the page) so we were good to go using it straight out of the book. Thanks for bringing that up and I’ll make sure to mention it in the trim tab video 😊

Seeing lots of things being wrong in the manual, how are these not fixed already due to the number of 10s already built? That can be a costly issue.
