Advise, based on comments from the forum ==> re-route your pitot from where it is to have it lay along the top of the block (UNDER the coolant hoses and high tension lines). Commenters have been reporting chafing of the pitot tubing and (to a lesser extent) of the coolant lines. I have had mine as I suggest (under the coolant hoses) for over 5 years and 500 hours and there is NO evidence of any contact with either of the lines.

Your comment about the heater door allowing some warm air from the coolant radiator to enter into the cabin -----> No, not Some air ==> opening the door causes "hurricane-like" wind to enter the cabin (ensure all loose papers are tied down before turning on the cabin heat)
