Hello there, to determine if the knock is caused by a injector why not loosen a injector pipe one at a time and start the engine. So for example loosen injector 1 feed, start the engine and listen to see if the knock stops. If the knock is still there tighten 1 and repeat with no2. Be careful however to stand well clear each time you start the engine to avoid the high pressure spray. At least then you would know for sure if the fault is injector related. Good luck fella

Hello sir, I hope you are well. I dont know what your plans are, but there is a talbot breakers in Leicester . You could give them a call to see how much an engine would be for your van. I reckon they would deliver it, and then its a case of having it fitted. You could hire out an engine crane . Then see if you can get a local mobile mechanic to do fit it.

Also, I've checked Brandon tool hire now, an engine hoist it £100 for a week or £80 for two days. Then you just need a cheap mobile mechanic. But a decent mobile mechanic should have an engine hoist.

Remember when you showed me at work and I said that's your timing cover nut. See if you can take that off and remove the timing cover to see if your chain or belt has gone.

No problem, I know what it's like to be in your situation. I've been there before years ago, skint, with no recovery insurance and a blown up bedford camper van sat on the hard shoulder of a German autobahn. Had it not been for the kindness of a German skip truck driver I really don't know what I'd have done.
