Great to know how yr van is going. We have ordered the Manta Ray due for September delivery. Just the 16ft as we don’t have the need for bunks and we are true newbies😂We ordered a 2nd battery but now I’m wondering if we should get a 2nd solar panel too- just concerned about weights. Our vehicle tows 3100kg so we need to keep the weight down. Anyhow, I’m enjoying your videos.👍🏻😀

You can always just buy a solar blanket that you can connect into the system if required. That blue anderson near your battery (standard accessory i believe) is for external solar and you wont need a regulator Im planning on getting one for those days its hard to get the sun. Good choice on Manta Ray, we did love them, we just scored a good deal on this road owl and it was ready when we wanted it

Glad you enjoy them, 19 foot isnprob what we should have gone with but we live our van. And Yes! So many people just shove it in there, it all just falls out when your looking for something

Hey guys, any details on weights? Have you weighed it loaded? Tow ball weight? The new age brochure shows a relatively low tow ball weight compared to it tare, have you found the actual weights to be close to what is stated? Cheers

Hey mate. We didnt weigh it when we first picked it up unfortunately. But in saying that, fully loaded at 3.1 tonne we have 245kg towball weight so about 8% and find it tows realy nicely and having 8% is good because i cant afford much more towball weight on the cruiser. Im working on a GVM upgrade for car and going to get van and car professionally weighed to try and tidy things up. So yes new age seems to be right in the brochure for towball weight

@@Ourwhittleadventure , I’m finding it hard to find anyone who has actually weighed their vans to compare to Newage’s specifications. Im restricted on ball weight due to vehicle GVM so I’m trying to gauge how the weight is distributed from the factory.

It is something i wish i did when we first got it just so i knew. But from other NA owners i speak to, 7-8% is the common ball weight without mods to the front (toolbox etc.) Can you go into dealership and use some towball scales and check for yourself? Can you shed any weight off car to allow more towball or is it a limit like Prados have?

Hey, i think its from Lorraine Lea, from a linen party years ago. And cool we like our colour scheme, we bought from showroom so we didnt get a choice but do love it.
