Such a beautiful aesthetic. so many first time builders doo too much and tend to make their projects too busy. You've done such a wonderful job marrying all the tech with a space that looks incredibly warm and welcoming :)

Thanks so much! It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea and I know the whole "maximalism" trend is in but I will forever be a minimalist aesthic girly so the vibe is perfect for me and that's all that matters but it is nice to hear when others enjoy it as well :)

@@bethandkayuh I cannot say I've herd the term ' maximalism' but I think I love it!! haha In other news I really dig the micro cement ( I think that's what you called it. ). Would have absolutely used it had I known during my build. Would love to connect ahead of my next build if you're open to it.

I think your dad would have been very proud of your van build. It looks great.

Congrats on the van build. It looks so comfortable. I appreciate the smaller YT channels that are just starting out. They have a nice feel to them. Condolences on losing your Dad, but it's cool you're honoring his legacy. I'm sure he's very proud of you. :)

aww hey thanks so much. I think showing what vanlife is like when you don't have a bunch of brand deals and sponsorships is important too lol I appreciate your support!

U r totally awesome, doing the van and this video. Thanks. I really wish to learn how to build the power system. Have you also considered a small solar panel for emergency? Please may you produce a lecture on hooking up your electrical work. Being 70 and want a nomad lifestyle, it would be really helpful. Thanks again.
@bethandkayuhАй бұрын
Thank you so much! Unfortunately I had to deal fix my skylight and then I threw my back out so I'm a little behind on the power system video, but I'm hoping to have it up by next week! Thanks for your patience :)
@bethandkayuhАй бұрын
oh and yes I have considered a portable solar panel (or two) for emergency and I am definitely going to get one in the future. I have my system wired and ready for solar as soon as I get the panels

Looks great! Are you concerned about the lack of ventilation with the electrical system (by the looks of it)?
@bethandkayuhКүн бұрын
Great question! I was at first, I even bought vents to insall on the removable wall porion but after testing it for several months it doesn't seem to be an issue. The space is actually much roomier than it appears on camera and meets the recommended requirements for the inverter and it is not actually completely sealed in. there is a gap between the removable wall and the top of the bed which allows air to flow throughout the garage. I also usually keep the tambour door open. If any issues do come up in the future I can always install the vents as preveiously planned :)

Nice job. How heavy is that cement spread you used?
@bethandkayuh3 күн бұрын
It sounds much heavier than it is! it is very heavy when it is wet, but once it dries all the moisture evaporates. It is onlly about 3 mm thick so It really doesn't add much weight. its also water resistant, and bacteria and mold resistant, and cleans really easily. I originally had just painted the interior and it would scratch immediately and get dirty. For me the the little bit of extra weight was worth it knowing that my interior would be pretty much scratch proof and water proof

I love that you made tambour doors! I’m currently at my doll-sized model step in starting VanLife (aka the pre-pre-steps lol) and I just made sliding doors for it and I’m glad to see I’m not alone in these ideas!

omg those tambour doors were a bitch to make but I looove the result lol! good luck on everything and don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or just need someone to comiserate with when things get tough haha
