Hi Matt.. awesome home you have. Don't worry about the dirty dishes or a little mess.. thats part of living in a vehicle. I was forced to move into my car back in the winter of 1998 with my 2 boys.. at the time they were 11 & 9. We didn't have anything except clothes.. pillows and blankets and it was always a mess lol. Loved the tour of Lucky. You have 2 little beauties living with you. Stay warm and safe wherever you travel. Missouri grandma just stopping by to say hi😊

That’s a great build! Nice reuse/repurpose on everything, I try to do that wherever I can. The favourite on my truck camper is the stainless steel counter top around my sink - I cannibalized my old, dead, microwave body and made it into flat sheets that I turned into the top. Reused the handle as a towel rail/door pull on the back of the entrance door, too. How often do you have to top up the batteries and how do you know if they need topping up and by how much, as you can’t see in them? I’m at the battery purchasing stage and two flooded 6vs look to get me the most amp hours for what I can afford, so I’d like to try and make them work. Thanks for the tour! 👍🏻
@VanlifePLUS2 жыл бұрын
I just top them up every 2 weeks or soC barely ever take anything. I use a watering system that stays attached to the batteries. It automatically brings them up to the correct level without me needing to fuss around. The links are posted on my website if you wanna check the system out on Amazon. I’ll make a video in the future going over this as well
@MapleMarmite2 жыл бұрын
A vid about the setup would be good. Also wondering about using a DC to DC charger or just connect from the starter battery with an isolator to automatically cut off between the two. I see you use both but some people don’t use the DC to DC charger. I seem to remember something about having to use that if you have the newer type smart alternator in the vehicle as it stops putting out charge once the starter battery is full. Mine’s an older truck with a basic alternator so it shouldn’t NEED one but wonder if there’s a reason why it’s best to anyway?

Thanks..!! 🌺 Now I get some New ideas for My camper van, 'Hercules', Opel Vivaro TDI, age 2015. I bought him 2018-12.. I have only some crappy cabinets in it for now, and I were looking for some Good Cheap ideas. And the bed.. a friend helped me with the first one, and I weren't really satisfied, so I replaced it... not yet the Right so I will rebuilt it Again.. Puh!! What I am really satisfied with, is my latest cooling box, runs of 230 Volt (Swedish standard)/rechargeable litiumbattery (like them for hand machines)/12Volt. Cost me $650 but.. I even bought some alu suitcases ((tool boxes), uses them for long storing the dry food (prepping). Chrome teached me long time ago, to wash the dishes with vinegar, so I do not need any kitchen sink for That...but I have bought a sink, like they use in cleaning rooms... for waching my long hair..and feets 😁 In Sweden we have sub arctic climate, so living in van Can be like yours... Creepy Cold, so last year I moved 550k to south of Sweden. Works for same company, fulltime, and stay hooked up in a farmer's back yard. Cost me $180 a month, got fresh water, electricity, emptying toilet bucket, AND the Security (the farmer and his wife always working at home). In Europe there is a Big Problem with burglery, steeling, robbery..🏴☠️🔦🪓
