The trim although thin looking seems like it would make it more difficult to get the inside of the glass to be as close as possible to the outside metal. I assume the urethane bridges or fills in whatever gap that’s left or else you wouldn’t use it? And if I was to be installing both rear and side windows which is easier or less critical as in which should I ‘practice’ with first? Rear or side? Thanks for the great video. Best install video for the rear sprinter rear windows anywhere! I couldn’t understand the purpose of the painters tape on the inside frame when you were cutting? Is it necessary? Is the primer adequate in place rust paint?

Tape is just to protect the paint to not scratch it with the arms of the saw.

Question on adding the trim molding. There’s a gap that is quite large between the two metal layers on the top of the window. I don’t see how the trim can span that. This is the tabs. The other tabs around the window aren’t large, but those top ones are.

The trim we offer for the 2007-up sprinter is wide enough to cap both inner and outer sheet metal as shown in video.

So another question if you don't mind. I'm planning out my window purchase for my 2019 sprinter. I have windows on the back door already from the factory and planning on getting the AmAuto slider for sliding door and behind driver. I notice on this video you put the rubber trim over the metal covering both inside and outside. On your video doing the sliding door you only put it over the metal on the inside. Reasoning? Am I making sense? Lol. Thanks

The Sliding Door install we did back when we only had one trim size. We have a new size that will cover both metals. You may want to wait till Friday night to put in your order you can see a new window we will be launching in our VWD Line at 5pm PST

We use Ingersol--Rand and Snap On Air Saws, 3" 32tpi blades
